Incredible! I never intended to revisit TDM forums again (as I indicated in my last post), but the multiple responses and discussions since my initial post have proven I was absolutely correct. I'm not "back" or "here to stay", so please don't get your hopes up for a vigorous debate, I was just stupidly curious. Have fun. I really don't hate anyone here, I just wish you would stop trying to convince everyone that TDM missions are the same thing as Thief FMs. They are not. That's all. No hate here.

I tried to be "nice" in these forums. I was wrong to assume so. Bikerdude, TDM missions don't belong in TTLG forums because they are not Thief FMs. TDM missions are TDM missions, and all discussion about them should be in TDM forums. Thief FMs are Thief FMs and should be discussed in the (TTLG) Thief FM forums. How can you NOT get that? Yeah, I'm out now. Hate all you want, haters.

"silly"? Each and every TDM release and update is announced with a new thread in the Thief Fan Missions forum on TTLG. How in the world is that "under-represented"? I've apologized for my earlier post, but I can't ignore reality. Perhaps you mean that TDM threads on TTLG aren't post-magnets with dozens of pages of comments; I can agree with that. I am not the "internet argument" type of person. If I'd known my post would generate this kind of attention, I would never have created it. Please, can I just be forgotten now? Please?

Just a quick "Thank you" to Melan and Bikerdude! I just finished this mission, and enjoyed it very much! It is without a doubt my favorite Dark Mod mission I've ever played.

Yikes, I truly did not intend to start any arguments, and definitely did not mean any disrespect or insult to TDM. Please disregard any/all of my comments if they offended anyone with my apologies. Rereading, I do see that "shove it down the throats" was much stronger than I intended, and was a very poor choice of words.

LOL! I've been absent from all things TDM for quite a while, but am revisiting now, and found this topic hilarious! Not that anyone should care, but I take TDM missions individually; Some I like, some I don't. The only problem I have with TDM is that it's promoters seem to want to shove it down the throats of the TTLG Fan Mission community. Don't get me wrong, I do like some TDM missions, but they are completely different games and as such do not belong in the TTLG Fan Mission forums in the same way that Hitman, Dishonored, and Splinter Cell games do not belong. Not that I'm bitter or "nerd-ragey" about it or anything, it's just a little annoying and gives a bit a negativity for the TDM that otherwise would not be there. I should probably also state that I'm not in the least bit a lover of all things TTLG. The Thief 4 hatred there has, in my opinion, gone so very far beyond reason that I'm sickened by it, and what used to be a daily, enjoyable forum to browse has become a site I very rarely visit. The only sanity left there is still the Thief Fan Missions forum, but in my opinion, the quality of FMs there has fallen drastically in recent years, so I rarely visit that forum either. Maybe I'm just getting grumpy in my old age, but I do still check for new TDM missions, and play them when I can. I've got some catching up to do now.

Unfortunately, I'm finding this mission as frustrating as others, and like most Dark Mod missions, I won't be finishing it because I just don't have the time, patience or interest. It really is a shame that most DM authors seem to try to make their missions more "challenging" than "fun".

Dudes, I think you guys are so very much beating yourselves up over nothing. The TTLG folks are NOT what you NEED, or even what you should want. You've created a brand new game, and it is awesome! Revel in its beautiful awesomeness and ignore all negativity. It is a BRAND NEW GAME! It is not Thief, and there is nothing wrong with that! I honestly don't understand this intense negativity towards the TTLG folks for somehow NOT finding TDM to be the most essential awesome perfect editor that they all MUST start using immediately. Posts that include phrases like "cold-blooded rejection" and "alarming" in the TTLG forums, in my humble opinion, do not promote enthusiasm towards TDM, and in fact, promote negative attitudes, some of which may even be realized before having played any TDM missions. I don't know, guys... I'm nobody. Just wanted to let you know the opinions of an outside voice. Please, please, please, don't take offense....(I think you will anyway)

Well, I completed the mission and just wanted to say thanks to the author! I'm definitely not considering myself a DarkMod expert yet, but I'm getting more comfortable with it as I play the FMs (I've only played a handful so far). Since I'm so new to TDM, I don't feel comfortable giving any criticism, as I don't feel I'm qualified or deserving to do so. But, I can positively and enthusiastically say without reserve that your mission helped me to learn the mechanics and my own play-style for DarkMod FMs. Thank you!
