  1. Moonbo, that mission was amazing. Typically I come here to play missions more in line with something like Knighton Manor, as I think the sprawling-mansion types of missions best exemplify what's so great about playing as a thief. This mission was a step away from that kind of feeling, but oh man! That mission was truly a complete experience. I absolutely loved everything about it: the aesthetics, the ambience, the feeling of progression, and especially the fact that it was a self contained and complete feeling story that didn't feel forced or spoon-fed to me, which I always find hugely distracting. I bought Shadowcursed and it seems really well written, though I'm only a few pages in so I haven't gotten a feel for the story yet. I'll review it on amazon when I'm done. Please keep making stuff.. FM's, books, whatever. You clearly "get it.".
  2. Having recently discovered TDM I am hugely impressed with the project. I was thinking of asking my favorite IGN podcasters to give a shout-out, hopefully generating more buzz, and that got me thinking it would be useful to have some sort of ranking system for the maps, rather than an alphabetical listing, so new users will be more likely to try something that will hook them rather than something that might come off as a little half-baked. For the record, all the seven missions I've played so far have been fantastic, but I look at user feedback on the site before deciding on a mission, and I have to assume there are varying degrees of quality. Hopefully new users will start with the included St. Lucia's, which is of course fantastic. Maybe a rating system would be logistically difficult; I don't know. But again, it might help newer users more easily navigate to the best quality experiences. And a ranking system may increase content generation by encouraging some friendly competition. Anyway, I can't say enough about all the love and care that clearly goes into this project.
  3. There's a reason we love this genre, and this mission was an homage to the craft. A distillation of stealth and thievery, unfettered by the compulsion to do something "different." Story twists, zombies, being a killing machine- other games do these things better. The things that Thief, and by extension The Dark Mod, does better than anyone else in the business was exemplified here. Very well done, Sotha. My usual playstyle is to blackjack everybody in the mission except one unsuspecting fool, taking pleasure in imagining the fellow's painful interrogation come morning, so initially I wasn't too keen on the restrictions. But i eventually decided to push it further and didn't KO anyone, which I've never done, and found it made the mission far more interesting. I may continue to operate this way. So thanks for breaking me out of my comfort zone! Again, great mission. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
