Confirmed .
Version 1.0 did sometimes fail to reload a quicksave ("...no more free events...") but had no problem with regular saves. In version 1.1, however, saving is no more possible at all: both quicksaves and regular saves, when reloaded, immediately crash TDM (both 32 bit and 64 bit).
Let's hope you can find a quick fix for this. It's nice to get rid of the annoying beeps under the starting / closing menu - but if it comes at the expense of losing all ability to save I rather return to the earlier version .

Thanks a lot. Went back there, found the key, and the rest followed quite intuitively - but wow, and again: WOW! And since I finished with less than 6400 loot and only 11 of 15 secrets, I definitely have to go back and start again. But first I need some rest, 'cause I'm a bit dizzy after those revved up wormhole travels towards the end....

I'm approaching the final stage (I believe) of this awesome mission, but now I seem to be stuck. Where is the missing head of the guard captain? I hope the holy water will be somewhere near it....
-
sometimes they get out of sync, and face the wrong way...
My lion statues
work fine with the WENS code - but it has to be read from right to left . That is, the rightmost lion (on the R fireplace) must face W, the next one to the left must turn E, the third (on the L fireplace) can be left alone as it already faces N, and as soon as the leftmost one faces S the secret door opens dutifully
. I could replicate it at least 4 times

Am I right observing that in this latest version
the orange "fourth clue key" has lost its function completely because the underground area opens with a switch?
On the other hand,
the "great hall key" does not work on the big double doors of the great hall (with the throne) so they remain locked, while all the other doors are pickable so they don't require a key – ?
-
Any suggestion how to
turn off the red hot platform inside the vault? It's not the captain's switch...
-
Two delightful missions, the second one is even more captivating. I happened to find the
psychotronic button in the drawer quite easily, but offering a drink to the statue was a pure trial-and-error...
However, I must have missed something obvious, because
neither the captain's basement switch nor the steam wheel on the back pipe seemed to work: the hot steam continued to leak (and hurt), and the electric plate inside the vault also remained red hot... ?

Thanks! Re-checked it from a savegame, and you are absolutely right: when I opened the case cover for the first time I must have blocked it at about 1 or 2 degrees short of the perfect right angle... another lesson learned .

I did, more than hundred times, from all sides and angles. A few times I also stucked up there, face to face, but in vain... Tried again, and after about 150 trials, it worked. BTW, I'm using 2.03. Looks like it remains a mystery.

In Angel's Tear
I opened the room and the display case, but the gem remained unfrobbable. What am I missing - or doing wrong?
-
I found the
"super spooky secret' above the extinct fireplace, but the 2 coinstacks in the alcove are unfrobbable, while they appear to be part of the total loot(?).
Am I the only one having this minor glitch? I have TDM 2.02, of course... A brilliant little mission nevertheless!

Bikerdude, do you plan (and have time / energy / inspiration) to update this mission to TDM 2.01 / 2.02 some time in the not too distant future? Does it have to be updated at all? Or is it just missing from the downloadable missions list?
-
Awesome mission, thanks for updating it. Just a minor complaint: it's often difficult to start climbing some ladders down, mainly in narrow holes - I keep falling and taking damage. And a question:
I'm pretty sure I found a sword somewhere in the previous version - where is it now?
-
OK, mystery solved:
all those minor bugsies are replicable on Easy ("Hard.Lo PC") level, but none of them exist on Hard ("Expert.Hi PC"). I have not yet tried on Expert...

Yes, it's the same jug (and I broke it, too) and the same (light greenish) spare library key in the left compartment of the desk, which I'm still unable to get highlighted from any angle. Thanks for checking - so my problems may have been just nature's random occurrences... time to replay.
-
I've been expecting this for quite a while, and with good reason: it's still one of the best TDM missions ever (apart from St. Alban's Cathedral... ). Huge, complex, challenging but not frustrating, full of variety and surprises. Most of it works flawlessly in TDM 2.01 now, but I experienced a few glitches:
(1) neither of the 2 garden keys worked on the garden door (behind the storage) - they only made a noise and the door became permanently inert; (2) there was no way to pick up the library key from the open desk; (3) the "non-secret secret" bottle in Andrew's jug was frobbable but could not be removed; (4) I found no key for one door next to the spiral stairs.
. None of these were vital - except perhaps (1) - but I wonder if they happened only to me...?

Thanks a lot, these 2 pieces helped me to 2071/2114, close enough to the perfectionist's paradise... I read the hint
about the boar, but I kept searching in vain on the wrong side of the wall

A delighful little mission with lots of attractive details. Some frightful, yes, but that's exactly what makes them attractive... on the other hand, I could hardly exceed the loot limit on the highest setting, even after emptying the safe. I'm pretty certain I've been everywhere. Any hint for some not-so-obvious locations would be much appreciated .

Thanks a lot. BTW, should have figured that out, instead of just sitting and staring at the ribbon without a dedicated button...
-
Thanks a lot, I found the missing 2 now. I can't be more explicit because I don't see how to insert spoiler covers here...
-
Nice architecture and a very impressive museum with attractive gameplay. However, I couldn't find more than 3 golden lions. I'd appreciate any hint...

This is a truly gorgeous mission, even though I've only attempted Thief so far - and in this scenario I seem to be unable
to find the vault :-) I've got its key in my inventory
. As far as I can see question #59 has not been answered either.

Saves / reloads appear to be healthy now, at least for the first 7-8 trials. Thank you for the quick fix to restore this awesome mission; it's certainly large, and for the first time a few objectives did require some intuition, but I still enjoy every minute of it.
@nbohr1more: my compass is fine, so it's probably not an FM issue...
