Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

I was playing Skyrim, got bored fast. Got back to The Dark Mod just for one mission, played "Somewhere above the City" which is not really a great mission but still good, as in above-average.
My biggest regret is living in this country, where there's a heat wave, I am sweating at 20c and I really wish for temperatures below 5c.

People tend to be LOUD when they're unhappy. When they're happy you don't see anything except for the sales numbers.
Interestingly, the Bethesda games sell well, and still earn a lot of shit storm.
But then, that isn't exactly rare these days either, with all the envy.
I also have a lot to criticize with them, but, I wouldn't smash them for it. They're just AAA games for nowadays audience. That audience likes repetitive and boring graphics demos.

I wished they would have made some of the missions a bit smaller. As has been stated on TTLG, it's a bit of a tension breaker, and not good for the rhythm and playability, if every mission is a gigantic monster. That, and a few things, like, some of the readables and voice acting not being up to par with others are the main issues I have with the mod. It's very well made, but, I definitely had to scratch my head a bit when I read that it's much better than the original missions. I think many have that gift horse attitude when it comes to mods.

Well deserved. And, surprising, considering that that old stealth games are not really a thing among nowadays players.

Our friend datiswous has created subtitles for "The Black Mage". He also managed to shrink the size of the briefing video file without significant quality losses.
Version 3 of TBM is now available through the in game mission downloader.
Thank you, datiswous and happy Christmas everyone!-
Very nice mission. I just finished it for the second time the other day.

I don't think The Last of Us part I is a good game; it is something else in terms of pure audio-visual experience though. The attention to detail is insane, especially in sound and animation.

I strongly dislike modern games which feel like I'm just watching a movie.

If you find the new Beatles song "Now and Then", which was created with the help of AI, totally boring, then you should better play the mission of the same name by our esteemed mission maker friend joebarnin, because the latter is actually a creative milestone!

Idea: Thief 3 style missions.
One of the great features of Thief 3 are missions defided in small segments with loading screens when you move from segment to segment. We all miss those right? I was thinking of mapping only horizontal, so not stacked. When you go up or down (stairs or elevator), you get a 20 seconds fake loading screen where you can play a minigame (The Builder's Blocks?). After that you get teleported to a different area that seems to be on top of the first, but actually isn't in the map file. It's much easier mapping, because you can see everything in one glance from above. This could also give more freedom building, because it doesn't have to fit. Everything is predictable because guards don't move to different sections.
This could be used for the Thief 3 contest possibly..

I think I just heard a tiny sample of TDM music during an Al Jazeera doc on North Korea just now.
It's the part where they blow up the Inter-Korean Liaison Office

We have been infiltrated by Al Jazeera.

Who is actually working on new missions right now? That I, the greatest mapper of all times (and I say this in all modesty, it is innate in me) am working on something epochal is clear to everyone by now. But who else is working on new missions? Please let me, your God, know, because it's so depressingly quiet here and I don't like to post pictures all the time, because even for me it gets a bit too boastful (although justified) with time.

Add Kingsal and Goldwell to the list, and it makes 7. The question is whether all these missions will surface this year, or the following years though.
