  1. Just thought I would chime in and say that I finally nagged one of my friends hard enough to try TDM, and that they had a really good experience! They displayed a tendency for murder at first, but I eventually managed to convince them to try being a bit more stealthy. They had a lot of fun with A New Job (and avoided the bug, although I did forewarn them that it might occur). On the topic of the desk bug (and the name bug), I think it will definitely be important to have it fixed by the time the game releases on steam. At the very least a separate build should be put up if there is no desire to fix it through the regular updater until 2.06. Wouldn't it be relatively easy to update through the updater though? Aside from the difficulty creating a new build, doesn't it work on a differential basis? I didn't have to download the whole game again when I patched from 2.04... Changing just one mission should be a small update.
  2. http://forums.thedarkmod.com/topic/18648-tdm-205-released/ Well it's back for me now at least.
  3. I don't suppose it's possible to learn what the cause was? Just to satisfy my (and probably many others) curiosity.
  4. Does anyone know how to contact them? They definitely seem to be the link for all the missing stuff.
  5. Not sure if this is the right forum to post this in but I've noticed a few threads going missing. Specifically I have noticed the thread for Sir Talbot's Collateral (http://i.imgur.com/2zFtrLy.png) and the announcement thread for 2.05 (http://i.imgur.com/ktkFniD.png). Is this something wrong on my end? Or is there something wrong with the forum, or those threads? Again, sorry if I should be posting this somewhere else.
  6. I wonder if it's an issue with the sequence of events. How dangerous would it be to have them be always frobable? I suppose that would allow them to be grabbed without opening the chest, but if it makes it work 100% of the time it may be worth it.
  7. Another issue, this time with the Tears of St. Lucia update:
  8. I really enjoyed this level - I played it through twice, bumbling through the first time but I managed a stealth score of 2 the second time around! My only regret was that I (probably unnecessarily) turned off/extinguished a few lights. But now I'm wondering what else is available in a similar vein to this level - high quality, focused FMs that require a lot of learning like this one does. Also, is it actually possible to BJ the helmeted guards? I know it was discussed up above, but I was under the impression that the helmets with the chainmail coif couldn't be KO'd? I'm still pretty new to the Thief games/TDM, so I wouldn't be surprised that I'm just doing it wrong or misinterpreting what the wiki has to say on the subject.
