Female voice set

That would be great...we could probably release a female AI model using male animations, but it certainly wouldn't work without the vocals.

I can do up a few scripts again, if you like, though not for a few days.

"I'll piss where I wanna piss!"

She just has a very manly, raspy voice :D:laugh:

Yes, I had originally planned for 4 different female vocal sets:

"The tough-girl" -- strong; confident; edgy; not very educated, talks about gambling, drinking and money (female guards, thieves, whores, townswomen, pagan women)

"the diva" -- educated; haughty; cold; talks about the failings of others (noblewoman, female mage, townswomen)

"The shy-girl" -- quiet, subservient, young, talks about fears and hopes and dreams for the future (female servant, townswomen, noblewoman)

"The mother hen" -- talkative, older, uses clichés, excitable, talks about children, taking care of people (female servant, townswoman, pagans)

The only female character I can guarantee will be done is the noblewoman (almost complete). The "diva" would probably be most appropriate for her. I'd like to get my barmaid ready but no promises.

Erm.... Any chance she could also do a 'mad woman' mini voice set too? Basically I'm thinking of just demented ramblings, moans, groans, plus a few shrieks for when she attacks and others for when she dies - just your average crazy mad woman in the attic type person. Here's the script...

"aaaaahhhhh!!!!!"

"oooooohhhhhhhhhhh!!"

"wwwoooooooo!!!"

Seriously, I could do some demented rambling lines. I'm thinking "let me out" "I won't hurt you!" "cackle" "feed me!" stuff but thought I'd better check if it can be done before I commit myself to such advanced literary creativity. ;)

Sure why not. I could use some rambling woman in my levels anyway.

Here are a few so far. I'll add any more if I can think of any. You can add and improvise as you think fit. Don't forget lots of just moans and groans. I'm particularly thinking of the atmosphere evoked in Cragscleft - one of utter despair and boredom and very sinister. Bit like UK TV actually.;)

Go away!

Nonononono no no no no no no....

There's never enough.

what what what when when why why why oh why go go go

Am I dead yet?

Be extra careful.

Don't worry - I won't hurt you.

Let me out of here!

Why am I here anyway?

Nearly time!

Stop babbling and be quiet will you!

I know you're there...

You're always there aren't you?

Ring a-ring o' roses,

A pocketful of posies.

a-tishoo!, a-tishoo!.

We all fall down.

Hehe sounds what I'd use for my Millers Wife. And:

I can see-ee you...

Joo-in us! (just kidding on that one)

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
