Come the time of peril, did the ground gape, and did the dead rest unquiet 'gainst us. Our bands of iron and hammers of stone prevailed not, and some did doubt the Builder's plan. that's the kind of thing I had envisioned for my first FM but the long view distances as you know are a no-no. :\

Couldn't it be done if everything across the river was a skybox?

That Soul tear has been at it again, bloody awesome -

Some great texture work there.

I recently realized how Jin-Roh and his maze of vast, partially well lit up sewers and what lay between impacted my mind when it comes to fantasizing a Thiefesque universe :

On this matter William Steele 2 and 3, the first Accountant mission and Penny Dreadful 1 did a great job with sewers and making them more than stinking corridors...

These are the pictures from Athos. I suggest reading about it for it's a palce like no other! It's like a second vatican, but more fantasy like!

It's a polish website but you can just click on whichever picture you like to see it, or use the button "następne" which is in small red font above the picture.

So I took a train down to the Manchester Christmas Markets yesterday. I spent most of my time buying lunch again and again as I kept getting drawn in by the smell of a million and one fresh German excuses to eat too much meat at once on a bun. One thing I did bring back with me was an awesome hand-made book. It's loosely bound in leather and contains really pulpy paper, so much so that I could write creepy stuff in it and convince a museum it was centuries old. New TDM sketch book? I do believe so!

Looks kind of mystical to me, with the pentagram and what not. ;)

With my messy planning style it'll probably end up looking like those fictitious alchemical journals you get dotted around the intertubes, so close enough!

I believe there were some images from Vanishing of Ethan Carter awhile back but here's some updates:

I guess they use this real pain-in-the-ass photo source method which looks great but take eons to get into game...

(Seems like either the post-process blur is way too high or the uploader up-scaled the images too much...)

Still, some familiar terra cognita with little hints of steampunk and undead here and there...

Please visit TDM's IndieDB site and help promote the mod:

(Yeah, shameless promotion... but traffic is traffic folks...)

Well then, it's been about a week since I released my first FM and I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised by its reception. I had expected half as much interest in my short little FM as I received and even less when it came to positive feedback, but I am glad that the aspects of my mission that I put the most heart into were often the most appreciated. It was also delightful to read plenty of honest criticism and helpful feedback, as I've already been given plenty of useful pointers on improving my brushwork, level design, and gameplay difficulty.
I've gotten back into the groove of chipping away at my reading and game list, as well as the endless FM catalogue here, but I may very well try my hand at the 15th anniversary contest should it materialize. That is assuming my eyes are ready for a few more months of Dark Radiant's bright interface while burning the midnight oil, of course!

I've been gone for a while, but now I'm back, have a new desktop and I want to get back to making missions and playing missions. And doing other contributions. Waiting for my reset password for the wiki, but I'll take a look at it soon. Hello, all.
