Fascinating stuff. Sure, information can be thought to be sacred, why not. The problem comes how can the practitioners of this new faith conduct their sacred act of copying and sharing with copyright protected material. Then again, people are constantly being killed due to religious reasons, so copyright infringment in the name of faith, in that sense, feels rather benign. ^_^ Soon shall the Kopimists be prosecuted by the copyright agencies like the christians and jews were prosecuted by other groups in the past?

 

It will be interesting to see how this develops.

Yep, I hope more people get on board with this...the entire idea that "religious freedom" should give you rights that other people don't have is ridiculous. Like the Australian who fought for the "religious right" to wear a colander on his head, the concept is just begging to be mocked.

To paraphrase, "those who join must share all of their personal information with the church".

 

This is no different than those who join cults having to hand over all their personal belongings, on the promise that they'll no longer need them.

      I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
      Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

      Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

      Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
