GoT recently ended and this will probably be the only video related to it I'll ever share on this site.

Not going to lie, a lot of the above had me in stitches. :D

Beyond creepy...

Also notice the reflection as they touch the mirror, there should be at least a few millimeters of glass there.  If the reflections are flush together then it could likely be a two-way mirror.

Darkening that room and shining a strong enough light through the mirror (up against it and fairly powerful) should make the opposite side visible.

Yeah at first I thought it might have just been a reflection off of some infrared censor on the phone (cameras can see IR, humans can't), but you can clearly see that the blinking light in the mirror is stationary while the phone is being shifted around. IR light generally shows up as a purple on camera. They even have cameras that can see in the dark, and I'm pretty sure this is how they do it, unless you go with heat vision, which is way more expensive.

This is great. My only complaint is that exploding barrels do less damage than they do in Brutal Doom. In BD, they were room clearers. You could especially kick them into a cluster of enemies and then detonate them. lol

This project is what happens when you take all the cool and innovative features introduced in every game series and mash them all together. Dodging from UT, melee attacks and grenade tossing without needing to switch weapons from Halo, mantling from Thief (in next version), weapons with multiple functions/modes from... whatever game pioneered that feature first. And they do it all without slowing the player down one bit. Monsters are much faster and more aggressive now. It really is a completely different game from Doom.

Today, the Simpsons is completely devoid of any of the creativity, wit, or clever satire that once made it great. In short, it has run it's course and should have ended years ago. Some of the staff left. Others died. With them, apparently went the heart and soul of this show.

I have an utterly unapologetic love for The Big O. Without a doubt my favourite mecha anime. It's got style, got weirdness, a lot of humour (dry or overt) and I just find it a really amusing, surreal slice of entertainment.

Yes, he's one quarter Phil Marlowe, one quarter young inspector Morse, one quarter discount James Bond, one quarter Bruce Wayne. Yes, his companion sleuth is basically a robot Batgirl. He even has a faithful butler and an older pal on the force. And once all else fails and the city needs defending, he blows sh*t up in a towering mecha of mysterious origins. Some of the music is jazz, some inspired by Queen. This should not work at all. And it does, at least for me. I love it. ?

The series is completely nuts at times, but I love it exactly for that reason. :D It only takes itself as seriously as it needs to, and the homages to older mecha combat anime are very blatant, but actually fit the retro-esthetics of the series world.

They even have a good Christmas-themed episode, which wasn't as snide a take as I expected. Given the season, it's interesting to see an anime that actually adds some heartwarming stuff via the guest characters of that episode.

About the only thing I don't like about the series is the blonde femme fatale thief/spy. She's booooring. Unforgivable in a series with an android lady that never smiles, but is still a lot more amusing and lovable.

Damn. I haven’t seen the Simpsons since 2001. I didn’t even know it’s still a thing. I thought it was bought by fx and it was canceled on Fox. But DAMN I was wrong. It’s still on air!!!

"I really perceive that vanity about which most men merely prate — the vanity of the human or temporal life. I live continually in a reverie of the future. I have no faith in human perfectibility. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active — not more happy — nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago. The result will never vary — and to suppose that it will, is to suppose that the foregone man has lived in vain — that the foregone time is but the rudiment of the future — that the myriads who have perished have not been upon equal footing with ourselves — nor are we with our posterity. I cannot agree to lose sight of man the individual, in man the mass."...

Staring down the barrel of these flashlights is like looking into a loaded gun... lol

Most of the LED flashlights with 18 emitters use pathetic low powerful ones that are only 5 lumens or so each.

Too soon?

thinking this should be my main menu ambient track for my FM. Amadeus’ idea 🙃

But seriously I hope this vid finds everyone doing well and lifts a spirit or two.

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
