Time to change the front page menu at TTLG regarding Thief 4 "Anticipation", especially since it links to the Old T4 Discussion board.

I've tried to edit Wikipedia with regards to UK university info that I know to be true because I attended and know loads of people who have!

 

And it always gets reverted back to the wrong info so I just leave it.

 

Well you need to provide a source too; "everybody knows it" is not really sufficent.

 

The same is btw with TDM in the WP article. Of course it gets deleted if there is no proof for its notability in general article. How are they supposed to know. That guy is not an asshole or troll for demanding a simple reference that TDM is notable enough to warrant its name alongside Thief, Metal Gear Solid or Assassin's Creed. There is no need for calling names... Not everybody has heard of TDM and then for outsiders it just looks if someone wants to promote his pet project.

Yes, We know that. For everyone else it is just an unproven claim on the Wikipage page about Stealth-Gaming because non of the sources have been added. And therefore gets deleted. Thats why he demanded a source. Now a source is there and it stays. No big deal in fact.

Well... partially. That editor guy did act as an asshole, I cite his edit comment: "Sorry, not notable - feel free to show that it IS notable (burden is on you now, not on me). (TW))"

Instead of editing the wiki page and writing this log he could just type --the dark mod-- in google to see how notable the mod is. In order to add the missing citations. Even if he never heard of it before. Instead he acted as an arrogant freak with the approach "If I do not know, then it is not true".

 

On the other hand under the plethora of evidences he give up.

      Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

      I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
      Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

      Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

      Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
