Skin selector window resizing

Can we please get the ability to resize the skin window the same way the model and entity windows were changed? It currently extends far off-screen and I have to fullscreen it to have a chance of using it properly.

Normal size, can resize horizontally but not vertically

Can't see anything else I'm working on, notice the vast difference in the size of the slider thingie. More categorising of the skins could help alleviate this somewhat.

OK, and this is DarkRadiant 1.8.x or one of the newer 2.0.0 versions? Can you give me a dump of the console output? DarkRadiant reports to the console about the displays it finds during startup, that's what I'm interested in.

Ah, I can see what's going on. In the 1.8.0 code, the SkinChooser tries to allocate about 60% of the 4320 pixels in width and then proceeds to set the preview widget to a square size using that width as reference. That's why it gets resized to that height. (Although normally the Windows OS should refuse to set a window so high that you can't resize it anymore, but maybe that's I remember incorrectly)

 

Anyway, the code in 2.0.0+ doesn't choose the approach above and therefore you shouldn't experience that problem in the future.

I downloaded 1.8.1, which seems to be the latest version (I'm assuming 2.0 is still experimental testing stage), I'll install it and report back if that version does it too.

Ok, in that case I'll just carry on until 2.0 comes out, it's no biggie 99% of the time.
