Congratulations on the release! Sometimes you just have to take your time and the end product is all the better for it. :) Looking forward to playing this one!

Really great mission! It's beautifully constructed and dripping of atmosphere. There was a palpable sense of dread through the whole mission. The only thing I thought could have been done differently was

the ghost that was homing on to you and chasing you through walls. The only way to get away was to go in to the secret rooms, which were far too hard to find imo. I kept having to kite the ghost in to the cemetery and then run into the house again and search like a maniac before the ghost caught back up with me and then redo the process. Not optimal conditions to look for a tiny key hole, though I appreciate the severe danger that the ghost provided. An enemy that can't be killed, hid from or lost, only outrun. It's a nice concept, but if you have to keep running you shouldn't have to also do such complicated tasks :P

Still, a solid 4/5 from me! :)

Nice idea for a mission, really great addition to the contest.

Not much to say here, I really liked the atmosphere and the overall mission concept. The ghost got a bit annoying from time to time, but other than that it was really well done.

Well worth the wait. It looked quite good, but in the end, it was the subtly creepy story and the interesting twist on the standard gameplay which made it particularly cool.

I like how the ghost looked like a B movie effect, and how her movements made for a constant threat. Expected jump scares, got a much deeper atmosphere.

In my playthrough, Mother Rose spotted and killed the guard patrolling outside. As I completed the mission, just as I made for the entrance gate, I was spotted by the other guard, who immediately tried to attack me (spotted for 0 seconds!). I can well imagine our character getting hauled in and getting hanged by the city watch after they discover the break-in, the dead body, and no trace of the real murderer. B)

Come the time of peril, did the ground gape, and did the dead rest unquiet 'gainst us. Our bands of iron and hammers of stone prevailed not, and some did doubt the Builder's plan. But the seals held strong, and the few did triumph, and the doubters were lain into the foundations of the new sanctum. -- Collected letters of the Smith-in-Exile, Civitas Approved

I've experienced crashes with Internationalized\translatable FM's. I usually retry the download and it is either already installed or downloads fine the 2nd try.

I'm pretty sure this has been an issue since 2.0 or earlier?

Having a problem when I click on Mother Rose title link in the wiki fan missions page. For some reason it opens the page for Crucible of Omens: Behind closed doors, and the forum link takes me to 'This webpage is not available'

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
