I hope you guys don't mind posting this here, but, i'm having a great time playing No One Lives Forever ATM, classic spy stealth shooter game, for those who don't know it. :) I have the German Game of the Year Edition, but, watched a Let's Play of the original English version on Youtube, and found the English synchro quite a lot better, so i Googled a bit for it, and Google came up with a site where someone offered both the first and the second part in a "Revival Edition", with widescreen, and modern PC fixes, and No-CD's patches applied. The legal situation is a bit "unclear" as the games are not being sold anymore, and there's confusion over who owns the rights for the games, Night Dive Studios obviously were serious about obtaining the rights, and developing a remake, as they did with System Shock, but, the negotiations obviously went inconclusive. It is surely not legal to offer the games like that, of course, so i won't post any links, but, if you own a legit copy, i guess there's no point in not getting it. The first part works absolutely perfect here on Windows 10 Home 64-bit, and i'm having a great time playing it through (almost done now). I played it ages ago, probably more than 10 or 12 years ago, and already had great fun back then, but, don't remember most of the game, because i only played it through once. Sort of the "mother" of all spy stealth games, with some nice humour, and a great female protagonist. :)

About NOLF 2, use dgVoodoo2 + ReShade 3.x on top of the widescreen mod!

And maybe Indirect Sound to re-enable correct positional/spatial sound (but there's a little bug to bust with LithTech Engine: me and jonpol - Indirect Sound author - are working on it :D )

Grim Fandango Remastered is free for the next 43ish hours on GOG:

Wow I literally just bought it a few days ago when GOG was having a sale on it. -_-;

Kind of weird they'd put it on sale only to make it free a few days later, almost swarmy.

Edit: Sorry didn't even look at the date & realize this was necro'd. Carry on then.

What do you see when you turn out the light? I can't tell you but I know that it's mine.

It's the *deluxe* version.

It was in a bundle some times ago, but not the deluxe version.

Things happen.

Btw does anything new appear anymore through that feature of connecting GOG and Steam and not having to buy games you own on at least one service?

Most common sense idea I ever saw because few who care about their money will buy the same product twice.

"I really perceive that vanity about which most men merely prate — the vanity of the human or temporal life. I live continually in a reverie of the future. I have no faith in human perfectibility. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active — not more happy — nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago. The result will never vary — and to suppose that it will, is to suppose that the foregone man has lived in vain — that the foregone time is but the rudiment of the future — that the myriads who have perished have not been upon equal footing with ourselves — nor are we with our posterity. I cannot agree to lose sight of man the individual, in man the mass."...

Lol. Bought it a while ago but never got to playing it (I've played the base game back when it came out). This one is a real time-eater. Nevertheless I really have to work through my pile of shame before I buy a new game.

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
