Weird graphical issue while swimming (sometimes)

Hello.

 

Sometimes when I jump in the water, 3/4 of the screen is "captured" in a freeze frame while the lower left 1/4 continues to show what's actually happening to me.

 

This seems to have an approx. 50/50 chance of happening every time I dive into the drink.

 

I am not quite sure what is causing it.

 

I have attached a summary of my system specs and graphics hardware to this post. I am using the latest TDM version (2.07).

I've seen this too. Its like the surface of the water (from the underwater) is replaced with a fixed texture freezeframe.

I recall this problem - I take it this only occurs when the player took damage before you go for a swim?

 

If so, then I am almost sure it has already been reported somewhere...

Please try to find out under what circumstances this happens.

 

You could also try to set g_doublevision to 0. This disables the underwater graphical effect, which used to cause issues on nvidia hardware, so it might be worth a shot.

I am pretty sure this was already reported, but I cannot find it anymore.

 

If I recall correctly, somebody mentioned, that this only happens, when the character takes damage.

 

I will try to reproduce the problem with HHI and get back to you.

 

Update: I cannot reproduce it anymore...maybe it got already fixed in 2.07?

Just tested again with an eye on the healthbar, the "window" effect definitely seems to happen when I have some damage and not when I'm healthy.

 

Tested it on the training mission, also seen it happen on Tears of St. Lucia.

 

Not yet with the hotfix, I'll give it a shot.

 

EDIT: Problem still seems to persist under the same circumstances with the hotfix.
