I've created two new skins for the long banner. The first is the new default skin, so it's generic with blank scrolls mappers can fill in. The other one is a builder banner based on the recent cross design.

My games | Public Service Announcement: TDM is not set in the Thief universe. The city in which it takes place is not the City from Thief. The player character is not called Garrett. Any person who contradicts these facts will be subjected to disapproving stares.

Created a 'holy hammer' skin, a gold-plated version for priests or significant builder guards (the normal hammer texture is there for comparison).

Which banner designs, the long ones or the short ones? You could probably find the short ones just by doing a google search for coat of arms.

I thought id let you guys decide wich ones. Is there a paticular insignia or coat of arms wich should be displayed on the castle, or is it just whatever looks good?

You're saying "the castle" but I don't know what you're refering to. Are you making a castle map? If so, no there's no particular insignia that should be used.

 

The only banners we have that have relevance to the setting are the builder, city watch, and inventor's guild emblams, and none of them would be especially fitting on a castle, I don't think.

I wouldn't worry about putting an emblem on the castle itself. We'll want the castle sets to be as generic as possible so we can use them for many different castles. The banners will generally be used to signify the masters coat of arms.

the idea was that I could make several different sets of emblems/coat of arms textures/decals which fit onto "a castle" wall.

Its probably a bit early for those sorts of details, ill keep working on the structural textures and models and we can worry about that later.

Ahhh, ok...I see what you mean now. :) You're right though, we can add the finer details later.

Managed to get the shortsword into the game, and made a dagger while I was at it. Next to the longsword for comparison.

Before I knew we could get the houseguard in game, I started working on a houseguard skin for the proguard. Here it is, with and without chain-mail (and you probably can't tell, but he's got a short-sword attached).

Maybe we could get corth's houseguard to be an archer :D Nice skin BTW.
