I've encountered that before, as well as thelyvn(sp?), and I'm pretty sure sparhawk has had it happen to him too. It's not where you post, it's what you're posting. So far, we've encountered G CC and g ++ triggering the filters (without the spaces, obviously).

When you get that message, it usually means you've typed some word or phrase that IP.Board doesn't like for some reason. Happened to me a few times too and it's highly annoying. All you can do is cut out one sentence at a time to try and track down what word it doesn't like.

 

Turns out the offending phrase was: tdm__player__base (with only one '_' between each word). If you search for that word you'll get the same error. It appears to have something to do with the phrases that start with tdm, followed by the underscore character, followed by at least two more characters (!). Bizarre.

It's a security measure. The server blocks queries containing certain potentially dangerous keywords, as an additional layer of defence against hypothetical remote execution exploits in Apache/PHP/IP.Board/whatever. w.g.e.t and c.u.r.l (without the dots) are two other keywords that trigger this, IIRC.

 

It's kinda annoying (especially the tdm_ one) but I guess it's worth it if it actually does provide extra security.

had no clue whats going on, then found this thread and changed c_u_r_l to kurl and it worked

Rest assured, the minimum size of the rope is about 150 units anyway. If there is less than 150 units of vertical space available below the arrow, the rope will indeed "curl" up.
