Petike the Taffer

As it's spring, it's only fitting I'd do some spring cleaning at our YT channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCd-Aq3Jm6gzYbNiC7TVz2qA Hopefully you'll find the refurbishment worth it. I think the place does look much more like an official community channel now.

Did the TDM team removed D3's internal Joypad feature? (tdm works only with systemkey binders for joysicks)

Can't wait. Once 2.06 is out, I need to think of a new intro sequence for my LPs, now that I've switched from Fraps to OBS and Standard to High Definition.

I had to stop working on my FM for a while, and right now I'm working in a team as a modeller/coder on a different project. I'd convert some models to TDM once in a while and write defs for them, so they'd have full functionality.

it will be in jerusalem, expect it to get blown up, security will be very tight and there will probably be a lot of shooting, and people throwing things.

That moment when you see 16GB of memory costing $200, more than half as much as a computer. Crime does pay when you're a mega-corporation colluding to inflate prices! But oh no, soon they'll need to pay a fine that's a tiny fraction of the profiteering.

Litigation is now being brought against the memory cartels. Maybe we'll see prices drop around the time the miners get done with the graphics cards, and then we can pick both of them up on the cheap.

Graphics card are already way cheaper. In fact, I got myself a half-year-old used GTX 1070 for 360€ the other day.

I dunno, the price tag tends to come and go on a whim. If the demand is high, so it also tends to skyrocket for the prices. Capitalism at it's finest I do say.

@Epifire: Intel knew about Meltdown more than half a year before it went public. And they probably also knew that fixing it in current chips would cause a performance drop. So, the chip they sold you that runs at Y speed now runs at Y-X speed because of the Meltdown workaround.

The disclosure was quite harsh, because the vulnerabilities were rediscovered by independent researcher (from rare some clues in the public).

Why is tax charged on a used item that's being sold as refurbished? Isn't that double-dipping? It reminds me of MS and the way they wanted to force every Xbox user to go online so that they and game publishers could extort money out of people when they resell games.
