nbohr1moreProbably needs a new executable compile. I'll do so tonight if nobody beats me to it.

I'm exploring assessinscreed origins. This map is huge and beautiful!
Anyone know where I can find a good code sample for sample_to_coverage AA?
lowenzATI/AMD SDK Demos?

CarltonTroisi → wycha
Welcome aboard! What led you to this far-flung corner of the interwebs? :D
wychaI love Thief, and after some time being amazed with TDM and stalking the forum I found strength to make an account and trying to be active here.

Slowly getting back to modeling and editing. Also, just switched to a trackball, which I find more and more comfortable to work with.
JudithAnd most FPSes, surprisingly. TDM with proper values and a bit of smoothing is a delight.

ObsttorteI am using a trackball for several years now, and it is definetely superior to a normal mouse imho. And much less demanding to your wrist.
Oct 25 2017 01:05 AM
JudithTrue that. All I need now is a good keyboard to complement the set.

Government is allowed to switch this feature off, but as consumers, we're not. Nothing suspitious about that, no sir-eee. https://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/10/21/purism_cleanses_laptops_of_intel_management_engine/
EpifireIf it receives a hard enough backlash (which it sounds it is for Intel) it's likely to assume it wont be in newer CPUs down the road. Also seems a bit dirty of Purism to use it for their own marketing endeavor at the same time.

BikerdudenFor now we just need to find the ports it uses and what IPs its talks back to and block them.
Oct 24 2017 01:42 AM
Time to prank Duzenko. Let's see if we can sneak GL_POLYGON_SMOOTH into the renderer somewhere...

nbohr1moreDuzenko: I'm gonna get rid of all legacy OpenGL in TDM. (months of work) nbohr1more: what's the oldest and most buggy OpenGL feature...?
Oct 18 2017 09:50 AM
So if I was wanting to get a non-invasive thumbnail, does the TDM site support [size] BBcode for that? Trying and keeps saying it's not allowed on the site.
is there a console command to quick complete a mission? Need this to edit the mission complete screen.
freykOk, i could use a savegame, but a command(like kill) would be easier and quicker.

demagogueFor that matter, type "tdm" in the console, hit the *tab* button, and you'll see all of these kinds of commands.

With help from Uberman and vanished, the large city mission that myself and Melan adobted is closer to beta testing. Would people like to see a a video version of "what are you working on" in same style of the Black parade..?
ERH+Someone said "reverb"? 2.06 will have a proper "Thief" sound? Now I'm excited.
Oct 06 2017 02:25 PM
BikerdudeGonna try and get this vid made over thw weekend.
Oct 20 2017 07:24 AM
ERH+Where I can learn more about that 2.06 reverb functionality? I really want to use info from "Setting Reverb Data of Rooms (EAX)" wiki article but in other forum topic it was said it don't work...

Did a great find today: Quake 4 mods for dummies. Now online readable. http://forums.thedarkmod.com/topic/5576-book-quake-4-mods-for-dummies/?p=412644
Converted a transparant image to dds, but got a yellow-shade. Howto convert? any pointers?
AluminumHasteIf you're using photoshop, check the alpha channel to see if there's anything in there.
Sep 30 2017 03:08 PM
freykDuring earlier conversions i used paint.net, but i think i lost my settings. any help with that app?
Sep 30 2017 05:04 PM
AluminumHasteNo sorry, haven't used that in years.
Oct 01 2017 09:54 AM
Worth sticking TDM on this? http://www.osnews.com/story/30023/Ataribox_has_250-300_price_point_Linux_core_custom_AMD_chip
freykSounds nice. We have to search for a sdk. We got steam-os almost working.
Sep 29 2017 03:47 AM
jaxaIt remains to be seen how powerful the AMD APU is. A Zen-based chip could make it interesting. But the system won't be super fast and at that price point it competes against cheap computers and Xbox One/PS4 on sale. This product could end up being a flop.

To help expedite development: Do any mappers recall using ambient lights "with falloff" in any released missions? Name of mission?
nbohr1moreAll set. Fix accomplished. :)
Sep 26 2017 09:23 PM
demagogueIIRC I think I used my world ambient with falloff for my FM (Patently Dangerous), because I wanted to make out-of-map areas into total black with a blurry boundary.

CarltonTroisi → Thiefette
Hello Thiefette, how are you? What is your favorite Dark Mod mission? :)
ThiefetteHello Carlton Troisi - My apologies for not replying sooner, but am not on much these days and am just seeing your comment. I don't know that I have a particular favorite mission, but I prefer ones with lots of loot, lots of objectives and lots of stealth. How about you?
Nov 19 2017 01:01 PM
CarltonTroisiHaha, just saw your reply now. I would say Volta and the Stone 1 + 2, both Accountants, Requiem rank high up there. I just saw your comment about getting turned around; I get lost all the time! I think I might steal your trail of breadcrumbs idea.. can't believe I haven't thought of it til now!
