Indeed, it is great that technical matters - which many of us find hard to understand - are presented so clearly and with so much useful detail.

Its always funny when a product that is half the price gets a higher score on a benchmark test... Today, its some NiMH batteries.

The Eneloops are supposed to be 800mAh, but they only scored around 780. The far cheaper EBL batteries all scored over 800, something which none of the Eneloops reached!

For years I`m telling scolars and friends who are interested in games from TDM. Since I can say: "Look! It`s on Steam-GL.", they are more impressed. They say:"Really?I`ve to take a look now." So.Yes.Being on Steam, even in GL obviously puts the game(mod) in the focus of people of which taken this one not so serious before. :D

If we are going to have an influx of new players with all this extra attention, perhaps someone should make a "recommended newbie FMs"-list, so that they start with good & friendly ones.

Remember kiddies, if you're not paying for a product, you *are* the product. Oh, nevermind; this is the 21st century, and you're still the product even when you pay for something. https://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/02/06/ftc_spanks_vizio_for_slurping_viewer_activity/

Apparently the camera built into the xbone did something similar, but that just lets microsoft watch you in real time, on the sofa on in your bedroom, or in your kids room.

This is an example of why I won't buy anything that mandates an Internet connection to function. And just because they're not doing it today doesn't mean that e.g. EA, Valve, or Microsoft won't push out a mandatory update and start doing it tomorrow. For this reason, I see being forced to use some online service as ?putting myself on a leash?.

Been away for some time again and thought some mapping would be nice; Question from a modelling noob: Is it possible/an easy/quick task to select a bunch of models/func_statics in DR, export them to an external modelling software like Blender and then save it as one model and put it back to DR? This of course to save entities.

You can export brush and patchwork using the DR ASE exporter. But you can't combine worldspawn and models.

Okay, but is it an easy task to (in Blender) to import the same model, say several bottles and then arrange them to look like a bunch of bottles, on the same z-plane and then save it as a unique model? Instead of using up several entities in DR...

Yeah, you can totally do that with Blender easily. Though it can be slightly problematic to get smoothing right on a prop with a lot of hard edges. I've found you really just have to split edges manually for it to translate over correctly. Which can be kinda a pain if you don't use Blender often.

I'd been telling a couple people but ya'll need to check out the Dark Reader browser app if you wants the darker pages. Works flawless on 80% of the sites I see and can easily revert back and store which sites I exclude. Pretty handy, and great for long nights.

As a fan of dark themes, I always got in trouble when some website would override things and I would end up with white text on a white background. "Where is the article? I can't see it!"
