Ques: Load Screen Pictures

Maybe it is my install, but why are the load screen Pictures soooo low resolution?

(well I think that is a building or a monster, can't tell which :) )

I would have thought that there would be some scaling (resizing) of an appropriate base resolution picture/photo mechanism in the Doom 3 engine.

Being a photography nut, I would love to see these load screens (most appear to be quite interesting but so low rez I do not try to discern them) in a reasonable resolution, say 720x1280 or maybe 1440x90 or something which is either 16:9/10 or something 4:3 that could be stretched to 16:10 for us wider screen users.

Just wondering!

Thanks for all the great FM's, enjoy them ALL !!!!!!!!

Not sure if it's absolutely possible. The title loader in Heart of Lone Salvation is 1680 x 1050. If I compare it by playing in 800 x 600 and then in 1680 x 1050 it is significantly superior too 800 x 600 but if I view the original image in a picture viewer on the Windows desktop at 1680 x 1050 then it is noticeably sharper and smoother still. I don't know how efficient the doom rescaling works or if I've set it up by the best method.

If it's not saved as a power of 2, D3 will resize it on the fly, which tends to make it blurry.

Finally got my PC back from the shop after my SSD got corrupted a week ago and damaged my motherboard. Scary stuff, but thank goodness it happened right after two months of FM development instead of wiping all my work before I could release it. New SSD, repaired Motherboard and BIOS, and we're ready to start working on my second FM with some added version control in the cloud just to be safe!

I've updated the articles for your FMs and your author category at the wiki. Your newer nickname (DeTeEff) now comes first, and the one in parentheses is your older nickname (Fieldmedic). Just to avoid confusing people who played your FMs years ago and remember your older nickname. I've added a wiki article for your latest FM, Who Watches the Watcher?, as part of my current updating efforts. Unless I overlooked something, you have five different FMs so far.

I've finally managed to log in to The Dark Mod Wiki. I'm back in the saddle and before the holidays start in full, I'll be adding a few new FM articles and doing other updates. Written in Stone is already done.

You cannot receive PMs. Could you please be so kind and check your mailbox if it is full (or maybe you switched off the function)?
