That's the weird thing about level design, it's drummed into your head that but sometimes a haphazard approach to building ends up with a more rewarding outcome. Similar to how old cities are often more visually appealing as they seemed to almost come to life naturally before proper city planning largely replaced this kind of situation.
Exactly.

LOL...Yeah very pretty on the eye but someone has to go around afterwards to makesure the performance dont drop through the floor...

^_^

Ah, "pansexuality"... It is my buzzword of the week! 7 times the import you have suggested!

I'm just continuing to be obnoxious :D

Though I do think that narrow Identity Politics can be a serious problem, in this case I was having a bit of fun, not taking it anymore seriously than it deserved to be but also not intending to seriously bug anyone. Tis silly twas silly.

I read it as they've done the right thing -- delaying Deus Ex so as to make sure it is "polished" - and it is could actually be interpreted as a sign of financial strength because they are willing to put off immediately strong reports and move/delay it until next "year". If they were on the brink they would more likely push the thing out now, pack their golden parachutes with the insta-cash and bail...

I disagree I think their in a horrible financial situation and realize that if this game gets bad reviews their done for.

But we will never know because non of us work there

Well everyone is in a horrible financial situation really, but the fact that they're investing in more development (and delaying profit) instead of putting shit to market and bailing speaks rather to the optimistic side of things...

And believe me I am NOT optimistic about the economy as the I am SURE that the system that it is based on is collapsing (and good riddance, as long as we keep our heads and steer clear of the lateral barbarism those at the top would love to guide us into); I'm just analyzing these guys and what they apparently are up to. The folks who control things, those idlers at the top, are not going to risk a penny if it's time to bail.

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?
