Ireland

I always wanted to ask this and always forgot it, because always when I think about it, I'm not on the computer. :)

I would love to visit Schottland and/or Ireland and I wonder what the best places would be. I don't really care for big cities (do they exist in Schot/Ire hehe) and I prefere landscape and that stuff which these countries are know for anyway. And since I have three kids, I can't afford to go on a big hotel. Also I prefer a more rural stay anyway, a farm or a small inn or such with a local atmosphere instead of sweiming pool, sauna and this stuff.

Any recommendations?

Gerhard

Oddity's house?

You might wanna keep an eye on the kids

What's that supposed to mean - you better have a good explaination. 'It was a joke' won't be accepted.

You really don't want to come here to Northern Ireland, it's a complete dump. There's nothing interesting to do or see here (alright, we have the giants causeway and the worlds oldest whisky distillery ) You'd very quickly get bored looking at scenery, it's all more or less the same here. I'd vote Scotland - far better scenery, more diverse and dramatic.

If you're going to go to Ireland, go to the Ring of Kerry. Lovely place. Don't go up North; damn Brits taking our land. Grrr...

I've made you a chart:

Ireland: Bad Weather; nice scenery; pubs.

Wales: Bad weather; nice scenery; castles.

Scotland: Bad weather; nice scenery; slim chance of spotting mystical beast.

Unfortunatey no, I'm far too generous to be a scotsman.

The Scots and Welsh are just as pissed off about the English taking their lands, but they haven't had the balls to fight for in in centuries.

So if you want to see some spunk, Northern Ireland is the best place. I'll start collectiing mine from today, just in case.

We invaded England in 1405. :P

But we're still fighting through political means. Killing Englishmen became old hat years ago. In my experience they just don't understand the damage they've caused, and so don't really deserve to be shot. ;)

Finally got my PC back from the shop after my SSD got corrupted a week ago and damaged my motherboard. Scary stuff, but thank goodness it happened right after two months of FM development instead of wiping all my work before I could release it. New SSD, repaired Motherboard and BIOS, and we're ready to start working on my second FM with some added version control in the cloud just to be safe!

I've updated the articles for your FMs and your author category at the wiki. Your newer nickname (DeTeEff) now comes first, and the one in parentheses is your older nickname (Fieldmedic). Just to avoid confusing people who played your FMs years ago and remember your older nickname. I've added a wiki article for your latest FM, Who Watches the Watcher?, as part of my current updating efforts. Unless I overlooked something, you have five different FMs so far.

I've finally managed to log in to The Dark Mod Wiki. I'm back in the saddle and before the holidays start in full, I'll be adding a few new FM articles and doing other updates. Written in Stone is already done.
