On the Trail of a Fence

This mission is a sort-of prequel to TDP, the author tried not to mess too much with the canon, which is the reason for this mission being rather small in scope. Garrett does not save the world, neither does he unravel a mystery surrounding a dangerous artefact. The Author says most bugs are hopefully gone, some minor glitches were either too resistant to fix or just too much work in the end.

This mission uses additional textures by JohnP, str8g8, Tiens, Judith, Renzatic, Flux & myself (and I've spotted a few TDM ones in there as well, B.)
~ static meshes by str8g8, Ziemanskye, Tiens, Judith & Flux
~ music by the Child of Karras aka JayB
~ briefing video artwork by Yalda
~ ini tweaks and files by S_Hole, Minimalist Project (i.e. New Horizon)
~ Thief-1-styled menu background by Dave Angel
~ Garrett and guard voices by saxmeister

I have to say, parts of this mission are what TDM should aspire too. I know TDM is a pain when it comes to open spaces, but TDS takes that pain to a whole other level. yet BC has managed to give us the largest T3 mission i have ever played I think!

Wow! Beleg was one of the first persons I spoke to and asked a lot of questions back in 2009 when I started mapping for TDS :)

In what way?

The cohesion of the texture pallets in some parts, the soft lighting in others. Its not that TDS is better, its that this mission is a good city mission.

It looks like the fake plastic of fakeness.

... Ahem. Actually, I am happy this has been released, I remember the screenshots from a few years ago. Time to reinstall TDS!
Come the time of peril, did the ground gape, and did the dead rest unquiet 'gainst us. Our bands of iron and hammers of stone prevailed not, and some did doubt the Builder's plan. But the seals held strong, and the few did triumph, and the doubters were lain into the foundations of the new sanctum. -- Collected letters of the Smith-in-Exile, Civitas Approved

Seriously.

I can't believe he's still going on about that.

You'll need to install sneaky upgrade, but I have had issue with anything above 1.1.0.

I still haven't harnessed the will power to install this new T2 patch. Instructions are all vague and scattered around, the download is too big etc. I'll get to it eventually though :P

edit: oops. it's a TDS mission, stupid (talking to myself)

Epic size we got here.
Men, look what TDS could have been.....

And the voice of saxmeister ( http://forums.thedar...104-saxmeister/ ) is just.....Garrett voice!

Task is not so much to see what no one has yet seen but to think what nobody has yet thought about that which everybody see. - E.S.
