The only thing I have found to push my internet is steam, everything else seems to sit at 4-5mb/s

@Godwell, blimey, what type of connection do you have..?

@Obs, where the hell are you in Germany, out in the sticks like..?

@Lux, don't be the price of fibre/cable is coming down all the time. I only got this as it was only £10 more a month thqan I was paying but 4x faster down and 10x up.

The upshot is my fast connect will benefit the mod as I will be buying a synology nas box and becoming a 3 official mirror to host of the FM's

I use an internet stick. Were I live we mostly have glass fibre, which is too expensive for the respective companies, so it just lies under the ground unused. I must add that I had a bad connaction today. Sometimes it is much better. It mainly depends on the server I'm loading from and the daytime.

My connection spend 10 minutes on "Selecting best server based on ping" and then I gave up. $90 / month for this (plus "regulatory taxes," they must have had a good laugh when they decided to insert this line into everyone's bill). It gets worse every year.

V Fast wireless is the only option here in our village of Mersham Kent and luckily we fall on the edge of their area. Before i was getting a paltry 1 mbps down with BT , now 9.80 mbps down and 1.46 up but I think we should be able to double that if we up the package.good enough for me though , the BT one was unusable.

May I be rude and ask what everyone does with these phenomenal speeds I can only dream at?

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
