Micro$oft data slurp: now not just limited to win10

Actually, I currently use Vista on my home computer and don't have any major problems (apart from updates not getting listed, but I don't think that this is an OS problem, but is something unrelated). I also used Win ME for quite a long time and also had no problems with crashes and other stuff people complained about. But maybe I were just lucky at that time...

Yes, you were lucky.

When it came out it I think it was the worst thing to ever happen to a PC. Even some viruses don't behave like that.

By the way, how goes the process of adapting TDM to Windows 10?

"I really perceive that vanity about which most men merely prate — the vanity of the human or temporal life. I live continually in a reverie of the future. I have no faith in human perfectibility. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active — not more happy — nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago. The result will never vary — and to suppose that it will, is to suppose that the foregone man has lived in vain — that the foregone time is but the rudiment of the future — that the myriads who have perished have not been upon equal footing with ourselves — nor are we with our posterity. I cannot agree to lose sight of man the individual, in man the mass."...

Can you guess what happened while I was reading this article? I'll give you a hint. It was naggy and annoying.

Depending on your browser I have 3 words for you -

  • adblock plus - but remember to untick the "allow some advertising"
  • privacy badger - blocks 'super cookies'
  • disconnect - blocks 'tracking cookies'

Some info above the above - https://gigaom.com/2014/05/11/not-all-ad-blockers-are-the-same-heres-why-the-effs-privacy-badger-is-different/

By 2.04 TDM will fully support Windows 10?

I have a feeling a lot of people are going to ask this in the future if something doesn't work as intended.

This tablet just started showing me notifications to "get office", complete with sounds to grab my attention. If I wanted to be subject to advertisements, I would either turn on the fucking TV or switch off my ad blocker. For anybody who does not believe me, http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/turn-off-the-get-office-notifications-in-windows-10/

I stand by what I said before about wishing there was a way to go back in time and punch myself before I decided to get a Windows tablet. It was the biggest mistake I made in a long time. "What the *hell* was I thinking? I feel sorry for the people who will pay a hundred bucks for this software and then get to switch off stuff like this.

Thanks for choosing Windows.

Well, TDM works well on Windows 10.

Testing it now on a device.

There is a possibility to restore back to Win 7 within a month from installing Windows 10. Thus far no problems with TDM.

What exactly was the issue? I remember someone around here mentioned something like that.

Smell that? That's the smell of desperation, boys and girls.

For the record, "What would it take for Kano to switch to Win10?" Either drop the price for home users of the software that build PCs to zero since it now contains adware and some would also argue spyware, or remove these controversial features and charge a fair amount for the software. $100 per PC is not fair when I can get a complete tablet for that price.

If you think I'm going to pay $100 for a product that behaves how Windows 10 currently does, "you're out of your flippin' mind." Also, for the love of god Microsoft, implement pinch-to-zoom functionality for tablet users. Android and IOS support it, and if you expect people to *pay* for the "jack-of-all trades" operating system that Windows 10 is supposed to be, you damn well better support it too.

"Stop questioning things, citizen. Do as you're told, and pick up that can!"

I think they stamp out such replies daily. Not like they can disclose that anyway due to some legal agreements most likely.

I don't really think there is so much evil behind that but if people didn't want to they wouldn't migrate to Windows 10 either. 90% of people just want an easy to use OS. Nothing more, nothing less.

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
