I am a fan of stealth games, and i really prefer stealth walkthrough.

but sometimes i want to fight in stealth games.

I really fascinated by unique action in stealth games. quite difficult, but it feels like bad-ass struggling.

like Oh dae su in 'Oldboy(2003)' movie.

he's not super hero. but he struggles multiple goons by his own strength and wisdom.

so is there any fight mission in TDM?

I usually played training mission combat, but it crashes all the time.

and goons just freeze themselves always.

need a real fight mission!

There are no fighting focused missions. Some missions do have forced fight as part of their plot.

If you want to fight, try Transaction. That has a single forced fighting session as a plot element.

You might also want to try Lich Queen's Demise. The revenants in that mission respawn if you kill them. That should perhaps make the mission more "fightable" than most.

My FM Patently Dangerous has a memorable forced fight with the main bad guy. (It's actually avoidable because I wanted it ghostable, but it's tricky. But a lot of people felt good fighting him in the video playthrus because he was a rotten guy.) SeriousToni's FM Sneak and Destroy is another one I recall.

Technically speaking you can fight any guard in (almost) any FM, so it's not hard to find fighting opportunities.

What do you see when you turn out the light? I can't tell you but I know that it's mine.

yes, i know. but am I a masochist or something?? That aspect makes combat more exciting to me.

The Dark Mod's combat is actually highly similar to Mount and Blade.

Try out mods for that if you enjoy Dark Mod's combat, and focus in on those that emphasize solo play.

I like to record difficult stealth games, and right now you wonderful people are the only ones delivering on that front.

Click here for the crappy channel where that happens.

This is a great opportunity consider adding to mission minimum of so many knockouts or minimum of so many kills to complete an objective. It could be an optional objective for those who don't like that playstyle. Consider 10 headshots as a extra to complete an objective. Adds alternative playing style.

Optional objectives are an interesting concept. They could also be made invisible unless you have achieved the objective.

Can the game distinguish headshots from other kill methods?

I don't think so. On mapper level, you can just trigger something if the AI is killed or KO'd. It does not distinguish how it happens.

We recently had the discussion about hit zones. They do exist as they are needed for damage calculation, but apparently it is not possible to call the hit zone via script or something similar, so it is not possible to create an effect depending on the area that was hit.

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
