A wonderful group of people just put together servers for Battlefield 2142 because EA wouldn't after the great Gamespy shutdown.

So now you can get Battlefield 2142 for free.

I like to record difficult stealth games, and right now you wonderful people are the only ones delivering on that front.

"It's free to download and play, and even though it isn't officially sanctioned, Electronic Arts so far seems content to let it slide. "

Yep, just like the WoW classic servers or AM2R.

Enjoy it while it's hot if you intend to.

I loved BF 2 & 2142 back in the day, I even was in a "clan", with Teamspeak and all. But these days are over :)
