I just updated to this version and FF is consistently crashing on startup, is anyone else running this version and if so are you seeing any instability..?

It's interesting that, while I have downloaded FF 56.0.1, I'm still running 56.0 and it's saying that it's up to date (not automatically updating to 56.0.1).  I wonder if it's because I'm running the 64-bit version.

56.0 (32-bit), no crash seen and Firefox tells me it is "up to date".

I also run 56.0.1 64-bit on Win 10 and have no crashes. However, I just noticed that NoScript does not work with the new version (it is marked as "Old Addon Type"). I will look, if there is already a newer version.

EDIT: After reinstalling NoScript, it is still listed as "Old AddOn Type", but it appears to be working

I seem to be 56.0 (64 bit) on Win 7, reporting as up to date, no issues that I can see

Yup, after updating on my laptop it just stopped responding; I had to revert to an older version. Everything was fine on my desktop PC though.

So did a backup of my FF profile with mozback (only backing up my booksmarks, cookies, addons and passwords) and sure enough FF is now working normally.

The only fly in the ointment is most of my addons are now showing up as legacy, I assume because they are 32bit? That said they all appear to be working.

I'm using it with no crashes (yet), however, NoScript stopped working. After some fiddling around, I did get it back again.

but not all addons are going to be updated in time... or at all.

Great! That just figures! Thanks for the heads-up, Atomica, I had done a bit of research into my NoScript problem, but I didn't run across that bit of info. Keeping my fingers crossed that my favorite Add-ons will still work.
