No wonder the "but can it run Crysis?" Meme is still a thing, even 10 years later, IMO Crysis 1 hasn't age a bit, still looks fantastic and Cryengine 2 still makes good looking scenes, from what i've seen the modding community of Crysis do.

If anyone is interested, these are my simple&basic quality tweaks (added in Crysis root\Game\system.cfg) on top of the "Very High" preset (with Motion Blur disabled)

High values of e_vegetation_sprites_distance_ratio can result in lighting system glitches (and it seems that is NOT simple to disable the sprites impostors for vegetation).

 

So the best choice is:

 

e_view_dist_ratio_vegetation = 100
e_vegetation_sprites_distance_ratio = 2

 

OR for max quality

 

e_view_dist_ratio_vegetation = 200
e_vegetation_sprites_distance_ratio = 4
