Has anyone gotten the blend ase export script to work in the latest DR?

I've tried exporting a func_static as a blended model to the Desktop, and it doesn't show up. (I had tried to put it into the proper mission folder, but it didn't show up there either.

I haven't tried since I posted about in Obs and my threads -

Would you like me to have a go at doing one part of the garden in your mission..?

Used the test map I created from the above link and it works as expected.

I just did the same thing, and it failed. The DR console tab shows "NameError: name 'AABB' is not defined".

Which version of DR are you using?

I'm using 2.6.0 pre5.

It's using the "ase_export_blend.py" script from 8/18/17 (version 0,71).

Edit: I see there was a final 2.6.0 release that I missed.

Trying that now ...

No joy. Same problem. When selecting the func_static, all I have to use is Scripts->Export blended ASE ...

Right?

The script needs a syntax fix, it's due to the changes necessary after migrating from boost.python to pybind11. In Line 124 ase_export.blend.py add the "dr" namespace to the AABB type:

ab = dr.AABB(origin,origin-origin)

If you could open an issue on the tracker, I'll go ahead and fix it in the repo.

Thanks, greebo.

I tested the change and exporting a blend script now works.

Here's the issue.

@Biker, do you still have the func_static that you used to create the blended model in the picture above? I can't find it in manor.map. I want to see where you placed the blend blocks on the grass vertices. thx.

I dont I'm afraid but I have managed to extrapolate where In would have placed the blocks and created a map and added that to the blend test mission archive
