When I tried to use "sr_use_bounds" "1", it did not work reliably, so I ignored this setting and went with using the distance from the origin of the stim centre. I did not have problems with that afterwards.

 

Where the minimal distance comes from, I could also only guess.

Very nice, I like how this turned out, also because of the visuals of the environment in which the trap was made.

One thing to check: if you clone the trap, does the response effect to delete the stim emitter get updated to the new entity name? If not I'd suggest going for the effect 'deactivate response' on _Self instead. This way you won't need to manually update names.

For your question, a soundshader may have one or multiple sounds. All options in the create speaker menu are soundshaders.
