I'm having lighting issues specifically on this mission.

This is with soft shadows off, but I have similar problems with them turned on.

Upon restart it seems to come up with different lighting issues each time.

My settings.

Edit:

It would appear my lighting, in general, is broken.
I just started "Cleaning Up the Neighbourhood" and it also is broken.

Will be posting this in a separate thread appropriately.

Edit edit: Just happened in William Steele. My version of TDM seems broken.

The lighting was perfectly functional yesterday but I just downloaded some new missions off the list.

Is there any way that would have broken things?

Please post your Darkmod.cfg.

If you have an AMD GPU, you might need the AMD patch:

https://www.moddb.co...-amd-patch-beta

or revert to an older AMD driver.

I think the patch will be your cure if you can't use an older AMD driver.

The only other thing that was known to produce weird lighting like this was:

seta image_useNormalCompression "2" (RGTC compression) but that is mostly cured in the final build

(in fact some AMD users with the bug reported better visuals with this set to 2 ).

So your current options are:

1) Use old drivers

2) AMD Patch

3) Disable Soft-shadows and GLSL  (r_softShadowsQuality 0, r_useGLSL 0) (old school mode)

It would appear that whatever was wrong has been fixed, and I'm not sure how because this is without altering drivers, applying any patches or disabling soft shadows.

Will report on altered conditions if it comes up again.
