All of those are displaying just fine for me (I count 11 in your first post, plus 1 duplicate ":(", and 10 in your second post). Perhaps you have a connection issue that's intermittently stopping some images from loading.

My games | Public Service Announcement: TDM is not set in the Thief universe. The city in which it takes place is not the City from Thief. The player character is not called Garrett. Any person who contradicts these facts will be subjected to disapproving stares.

I can confirm the same, all smilies are displayed correctly.

Nope... Not possible. And the only dark color missing is the black background-color outside of the forum frame. I think?

The area that is bright is the entire large middle area of the forum where all the text and the player avatar pictures appear in the threads. For example, what I'm typing now and what you type will be all in this bright off-white sort of cream colored area. The area outside the text, on the far left and right side of the screen, is a medium gray thin vertical stripe. That looks ok, but the middle area is very light and bright. Surely there are color options with such a fancy looking forum, even if not individual custom options. Can the entire forum have the color put back more like it looked before, or anything darker than this?. A dark forum goes much better with The Dark Mod, and it's a lot less searing on the eyes, too. :)

I'd call the page background more of a dark grey, and the post backgrounds light grey. Looks fine to me. If this is searing your eyes, I think you need to adjust your monitor. I quite like the new theme.

Hmm, yeah, I suppose you could call the large middle area where the discussion text appears a *very* light gray in color. :) And I already do have my monitor brightness turned down. In any case, it's way lighter than it was before, not nearly as Thiefy. :) Maybe the text and avatar picture areas can be made more like the darker background shade of gray that appears around the edges of the forum? That would look more appropriately atmospheric and sneaksie. :)

I like it the way it is.

I had trouble with dark letters on all too bright backrounds as well, but that's what you get all the time in the internets and wordprocessers as well.

My personal solution is a nice compiz-plugin (neg) which lets me invert the screen or individual windows. Once you get used to it, you never want to miss it again.

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
