Any of you heard Age of Wonders 4's OST?

I love how after all these years, Michiel van den Bos still conserves his "Melodic" spirit.

I was playing Skyrim, got bored fast. Got back to The Dark Mod just for one mission, played "Somewhere above the City" which is not really a great mission but still good, as in above-average.
My biggest regret is living in this country, where there's a heat wave, I am sweating at 20c and I really wish for temperatures below 5c.

People tend to be LOUD when they're unhappy. When they're happy you don't see anything except for the sales numbers.

Interestingly, the Bethesda games sell well, and still earn a lot of shit storm.
But then, that isn't exactly rare these days either, with all the envy.
I also have a lot to criticize with them, but, I wouldn't smash them for it. They're just AAA games for nowadays audience. That audience likes repetitive and boring graphics demos.

Isn't just number of sails? I mean if 10 milion peeps buy the game and 1000 people complain, this looks like a lot, but not in comparison.
If 30 people on the forum don't agree something will not get implemented.

I think I just saw a quote I once made for one of Peter_Spy's texture projects, in the mission "A Night in Altham".
The quote ends with "He does watch thee and give thee ordeals of his tasks".

They have different art style, and typically they're using all 3 major texture slots (diffuse, normal specular, while most TDM assets use only diffuse and normal), and textures were fairly hi-res (1k-2k) in comparison to stock assets.
-
Oh I see, I've always wondered if TDM would ever have a plan to redo or improve the current assets, though to be honest it has some "charm" to it by now...But damn, it's been more than 20 years now.

Long time ago, I presented a POC of reworking the loot items first, but it was rejected by TDM team on grounds that "it would make original assets look bad". A total conversion project would be way too much work to do IMO, even for several people.

That moment when it's a great time to play an awesome classic like Thief or TDM, but you also got other great games you wanna play. Make up your mind, brain!

I got just a tiny bit into this "Mystery Song" thing and found an amazing song that funnily enough reminds me just a tiny bit of Thief, it's only because I miss playing it but I hate playing games during Summer. Check it out (and yes, I love that album cover, too!):

I know I'm not active much, but it feels a bit too silent in here. Is everyone taffing around, again?

It's a form of profanity in the Thief universe isn't it? Or it is in the older games anyway, Thief 4 decided to use modern profanity instead even though they had an in-universe alternative. Taffers.

Must be one of them grubbers again.

I asked Chatgpt:
QuoteAs an AI language model, I don't have access to current statistics or any recent updates about the forum. However, there could be a variety of reasons why it might seem quiet on the forums:
-
The Dark Mod community may have migrated to other online platforms or social media channels.
-
The latest release or update of the game, which may have reduced the number of forum users' needs for support.
-
Forum members might have moved on from the game or are taking a break for an extended period.
-
Other members might be inactive and haven't logged in for some time.
-
There may be a lack of new discussions or news updates happening within the community, which could discourage users from participating.
These are some potential reasons why it might seem quiet on the forums, but the official Dark Mod website or social media accounts could provide more context.
I think point 2 is interesting..
