  1. Guy fishing part two , and a body in the river (just a ragdoll on worldspawn, so it does nothing). I need to move the fishing line so it reaches the water and not the boat, lol. Found a solution for the end of the rope. Will change the metal piece into a broken cleat or such dangling there, instead of something mounted like that on purpose.

  2. This fixed dmap for me. (I was reluctant to broach this issue without another Linux complainer because I am on Linux Mint.)

  3. I just found this old map on my computer and I'm blown by the fact that I can run it with SSAO on and Soft Shadows and in this view I'm getting over 70fps, when I used to struggle to get 30-40 fps with none of those options even available. Holy crap nice work devs (2.08 beta 2 btw)

  4. That did the trick. Thank you very much!

  5. I think I fixed it. Could you please check this build and say whether it dmaps properly or not?

  6. I found some full versions on moddb, but they are huge for small hosters. (version 2.0 and 2.0.7) But if people host those differential updates, i think that it take a smaller size. If there other hosters hosting those files, please let me know. I succeeded to follow links to direct links to one moddb dbolical mirror servers, downloading and unpacking the files. Added links for 2.0 full and 2.01 dif and hope those direct links are not temporary. Updated the sourcecode on my github repo. -edit- Yes, those direct links to dbolical mirror servers are temporary. So i have to find other mirrors (without temporary links).

  8. At this moment i'm working on a new feature of the tdm installer for windows, that does right that. I only need to know the locations where i can download the old packages. Going to test if i can download the files from moddb. (but a more static mirror location, would be nice)

  10. I can give debug symbols to you, so that you could look at stack trace in gdb. Or you could create a memory dump when it hangs, and send it to me. Uploaded debug symbols for beta208-04 here, in case someone wants to use them.

  11. That shows how many AI's have I bound to things lol, but that is perhaps solved by: 1) Updating the AI position and angles to match the boat position and angles using script. 2) Not use a AI class at all but instead use a func_animate class (or TDM equivalent) for the character (func_animate have no collision but you can work around that if needed)

  12. I recall from an earlier discussion with Springheel and Obsttorte to use an audience entity for that. However, I never tried it and thus do not know whether that could work.

  13. Not too shabby. I'll do some visual distraction magic to make the rope seem less detached at the back of the boat, but that's about the motion I want for the rowboat.. Video of fishing dude << That used a mover_door on the end of the rope where the dock will be, just moving about .15 degrees with auto open/close. Boat bound to the rope and contents bound to boat. I also tied in a func_pendulum and a func_bobbing to get both the rocking and lifting effects. Another part of the same map... Time to stir the pot

  14. Yeah I already tried binding the AI. They last for about 1 second before they vaporize. I had one riding in a chariot bound to a horse/steambot a few years ago. And once I almost got a ragdoll to stay draped across the back of a horse using a func_spring. I also have an idea of how to get a ragdoll to float in water, so I'll be playing with that tonight. I have a door mover with auto open/close as well as func_bobbing on the boat. Adding pendulum is a good idea too, so I will do that as well. Going to move the door mover from the boat to the anchor end of the rope so that it moves more realistically. Right now it's swinging a stiff rope around.

  15. Fishing. I wish I could make the AI sway and bob with the boat.

  16. My growing tribe (+1 in May) is happy and healthy. We are taking the extra time away from school and work to catch up on bonding with plenty of board games and outdoor activities in the yard like the slip n slide and archery practice. Hope everyone is doing well. This quarantine should give us a spike in FM releases in 2020, if nothing else.
