  1. Well, holy shmoly. Epic Store gives away GTA 5 at the moment. Get it while it's hot. Might take a while though, because, at the moment, they're getting quite the bombardment on their servers...

  3. I doubt we'll see very many games at this fidelity for a while but it's nonetheless quite exciting. Especially for developers, assuming it's really that easy. Also, no cut up to $1 million is really cool for a fully open source top of the line game engine. However what I found comical was how we're being shown these incredible graphics but in terms of interactions we're still stuck at "Press X To Interact"

  5. No worries I'm not sure about that. I tried moving the whole thing again, including rotating it, and it didn't break. Using monsterclip doesn't seem to be an advantage if the ragdoll can't be dragged or frobbed. If the player wants to swim under the ragdoll, they cannot get any closer than where the hands and feet are dangling. So the cage does not get in the way no matter how it is textured. I have not yet gotten around to making the ragdoll frobable/shoulderable. In that case, monsterclip would be needed if the player wants to move through that part of the water after moving the ragdoll. Or perhaps the frobbing or grabbing of the ragdoll could trigger the removal of the cage.

  6. @nbohr1more @stgatilov You guys were right, after updating to 2.08 it looks like... 1. ...crashes during WIP loading have vanished and 2. ...in game crashes in WIP area with fire elementals have vanished as well! Thank you, after adding final voice lines in the next days I will start beta/optimizing! Jack P.S. ....love the new swimming system, although I think I will have to add a few more breath potions as the lake is very, very deep! P.P.S. ...and I have the feeling, that everything runs much faster now!

  9. Welcome to the clube, i'm the same. That sure looks impressive but my graphics "wow" level stop at Crysis release after that every AAA game looks fine to me. Btw that virtual geometry tech, seems similar to something John Carmack talked about the guy that made the engine TDM uses, for those that don't know. He talked about it after Doom 3 came out, i bet it uses voxels tech like he said.

  10. The number of mirrors is not too high today, and new mirror would definitely be welcome. However, we have been split on the question of whether we could use a server as official mirror when its owner has zero posts on these forums. The TDM code does not properly verify downloads, so we must be sure that mirrors owners can be trusted. Sorry.

  13. While i`m waitin for some PM`s to be answered ( ) I got the idea for an internal achievement-system. Not that " Dark Conqueror 50g", "hit the light`s 10g" or "Black Jack 5g" - console crap. After a player finished a map the summary of his mission will be displayed on an official table if he is registered to it, with an overall ranking. A little side -effect could be, that a registered user will be informed about latest updates and patches and so on, without need digging through the TDM-forum. new domain/subdomain: www.TDM-loot.com ...something like that. I think this could be raise the level of replayability the DARK MOD got already. If I see SOTHA (f.e.) got all the vases and jewelry but only 950 Gold instead of 1000 possible but without killing somebody, i can try to overtrump him avoiding blackjack anybody and get ALL the Loot and therefore raise in the overall ranking. The ranking-thing can be an option in the TDM -menue. If enabled it would show a little login/register window. Thats it. This idea comes up while I read the idea to a bank heist-mission with increased difficulty-level. Before you think "Yes yes ! Michael seems to be banged by his grass. " 1. I don`t smoke at all. 2. This achievement thing sometimes works even for me. It would be somekind of competition and emphasise the reward-feeling. It`s just an idea......so don`t kill me

  16. One thing does not rule out the other, I think. One is for the mapper-guild ( improvement of maps, bias ) -->internal FM-rating The other for the player ( competition, replayability ) -->ranking-table
