  1. Congrats, joebarnin, this is not your first mission and one can see all the experience you applied from your previous missions - well designed, fresh, with lots of interesting ideas. SInce many before me already said what was good and bad + I am lazy today and don´´ want to write much, I will just say: Congrats again, this was a blast to play!

  2. This is actually a bug with scriptobjects which set up their own S/R the way you've done in your init. I was stumped on this for ages, wondering why the variables don't carry over between functions (always 0), until it occurred to me to use a different method to call the script object i.e. via the frob_action_script spawnarg.

  4. double post, what is the name for the "arbitrary transformation" widget (Modify > Rotate and scale...) in the shortcut list? I had it assigned to "A" but now the aforementioned crashes have also deemed it necessary to reset my keybinds as well so "A" is back to CameraMoveUp or however that goes. I would check the non-beta version but I don't want to destroy my camera mouselook move shortcut keys again...

  5. I am a chemist myself and have recently finished a postgraduate course in toxicology. There are a couple of positions open there, but we will see how it goes. Financially I haveunemployment benefits for the coming year and should I not be able to find a new job in a year (which I doubt) I still have some savings. This also reminds me that I should finally file the tax returns for the last couple of years. This is also some money that I can use if bad comes to worse... Still, I am not too pessimistic that I cannot find anything. In doubt I just have to reduce expectations.

  6. This is really nice! I am currently preparing a campaign for the Witcher pen and paper RPG to get my "daily dose of Wticher". Now I just need people to play with... I also had the last day of my old job today. I was working as a research fellow at the university and may even have had the chance to extend my stay, but I am looking for an indefinite position. However, with the second lockdown just starting, I am also not too optimistic about finding something too soon

  8. Here's a new batch of models and prefabs in the furniture & shelving department: Desk This one's based on my 2nd "model" ever made, the captain's desk in One Step Too Far in 2014, now retextured, greatly polished and with numerous desktop variants. Posh bunkbed This is a fancier bunkbed, available in doubles or singles. The doubles version has a special nodrawsolid/clip setup to allow the player to climb inbetween both beds. Pantry shelves 5 small shelves filled with various foodstuffs, for quickly assembling food storages. Wall shelves A variety of wall shelves, including a medicinal closet and a scroll shelf like the one found in Shipping & Receiving. Overview of contents The download can be found in the original post, dragofer_furniture_shelving.pk4. You'll need least DR v2.8.0 in order to be able to see & load the new .pfbx format for prefabs.

  9. I've been on an FM binging spree - think I've gone through 40+ in the past month and a half or so - and this one is probably in my top 5. Due to a couple of issues I had to restart the mission twice: One pretty far in where my cat hit the restart mission button without me having saved (aka: my fault) and one where I got stuck in geometry, and I didn't even mind! At some point I plan on going more in detail and giving reviews to several of the missions I've played - so I'll keep it brief for now. This was a very pleasant surprise - as I had not gotten to playing any of your maps yet before this one. We're all very fortunate this is how you are spending your retirement. I'll be playing through your other two next! Looking forward to seeing more of your work in the future!

  10. Finally finished the mission last night! Great work! It really held quite a few surprises which is always enjoyable. The city section is really well made and the places and people you can visit feel natural and organic.

  12. Well with a well respected builder visiting I thought it fitting that the first thing he would see walking in would be that lol. Someone's head is going to roll!
