  1. Whew, got results from the tech interview for one of the jobs I applied, I got it Now waiting for the other two to choose the best offer. That's a real privilege in these awful times, I must say.

  2. First of all.....CONGRATULATIONS. This is the best FM that I have ever played. I realy am sad that it wasn't longer. It was a pleasure to have FREE PLAY all over the city and discover missions and secrets along the way. I know that this is made in your free time.....but if you ever decide to make another one......It would be just awsome and hope only it would be even bigger. Again congratulations on something absolutely great.

  3. We had the idea once to have a rating system inside the game ,and it could have number of times downloaded/played. The votes would be collected on this server, and I suppose it could have mirrors, just like the other downloads. But it's not such a big thing since you can usually get an idea about it just by searching the forum.

  4. Two things jumped out at me when bikerdude's Dragon's Claw was recently updated. The in-game downloader really needs to show the 'last updated' date for a mission, gives the user better confidence if they've heard there's been an update. This thing with versions seems to clash with authors. Some authors use their own scheme. Some defer to the numbers the system uses. Okay, why don't we relabel "version" in the downloader to 'release #'. Authors may provide their own custom version string if they want and that can be shown if added.

  5. Hello everyone, Bikerdude's made significant updates to this mission and it's now fully playable in 2.08. Available in the in-game downloader or Download here! We'll update the OP to reflect this. Thanks! “I usually welcome the shadows, a place of refuge for a master thief like me. However, there are dark places that even I fear. That place being the plague ward at the edge of town. Rumour has it that it was cursed by a pagan witch and its inhabitants died from an incurable plague..." Build Time: Update Build Time: Original version - 3-4 weeks. Updated version - 2 days  Credits: Flanders - Prebuilt maps and textures Readables – SirTaffsalot. FeildMedic - ghost begger (which I fixed and updated). Springheel - jack-o-lantern (gotta have them)  Thanks:- Special thanks to my beta testers: Flanders, SirTaffsAlot, nbhormore, Pranqster, RPGista, Thor, Xarg, Glyph Seeker, Amadeus, Garret42 & Bluerat.

  7. Nice work, works great. What I only miss (for now) are some visual things, like: The slashes inside the file-path (and folder selection). In windows they need to be displayed like backslashes, not forward slashes. a method to select other tdm-mirrors. (where is tdm_mirrors.txt?) Textlabels next to the progressbars, during the download. (see example above) (And thanks for adding the additional progressbars) Unhide the empty progressbars, when they have nothing to do. (so the user can see and knows there are some steps are coming) an "100% - Done" textlabel inside the progressbars, when they are done. A final-status progress bar.

  8. I just stumbled accross this game called "Ninja Simulator", which is yet to be released. There is very little info on it, but I am hoping it will be executed well and in the style of Tenchu, which was a blast back in the days!! But judging by the title, I won't get my hopes up too high as anything with the suffix "Simulator" is usually rather crappy! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1323140/Ninja_Simulator/

  9. On first blush that could be a good idea, and maybe even calling "0" some variation of "Perfect" or "0 (Perfect)". It'd be good to look at a mock up of different options to think & talk about it. For some reason I can't easily find a screenshot just now and I forget how much room we have there.

  10. It's probably a good idea for every mapper to get familiar with Blender (or their modeling app of choice) for little tasks like this anyway. It's practically the Photoshop of mapping. We should all should know it well enough to jump in, throw something together and import it into the game when we need to.

  11. I just played this and loved the spooky atmosphere, a map well made for Halloween! That is I found some minor issues that could be fixed. Like the others I had problems to get the golden lion on the roof because it's rather difficult to crouch out of the window. This could be made easier. Also I found a missing texture at the top of the broken spiral staircase and once you jump there and from there to the top floor, you can see some kind of skybox clipping when looking out. And there were some badly scaled textures on protruding bricks in the sewers. Last not least a problem that might be a TDM issue itself: the volumetric fog used here and in other missions looks very bright but it should be dark. Can this be fixed?

  12. The entire score system would be fixed simply by appending a negative in front of the score. Like Golf, less is more and it immediately gets visually communicated.

  13. @Obsttorte But brushes can't be bend like patches .. right? Althoug it looks nice, it was intended to be squared bars .. and it only does when exporting it as an .iwo : Ok, found it; I can make a Simple Patch Mesh and make it the form I want, then thicken patch : )

  14. Thanks for playing @jdtecGlad to hear you liked it. As far as that objective goes, you should definitely be able to go back and finish the deed @Xolvix So, Dragofer and Biker have been hard at work making a sizeable update for this mission and if all goes well it should be out this weekend. This update comes with a boatload of bug fixes and quality of life improvements so you might want to hold off until the weekend.

  15. So sorry for not noticing your post until now. Haven't been active on the forum...I guess this tree location is added by Bikerdude when he made improvements to the mission. The location in question is the skybox and shouldn't be reachable by the player...and should be isolated from the rest of the map. /Fieldmedic
