  1. Lately, I've been researching mirrors and real-time reflections, as in most missions I've seen them super clear and 100% reflective. It turns out there are better ways to do it. I wouldn't recommend real-time reflections in general, as there are quite numerous limitations on their use, and they're quite resource-heavy. But there are ways to make them look good. I'll go with the cubemap version, if the model ends up in my FM.

  2. It’s my first FM I’ve ever created for any game. I’ve essentially finished the map but I’d like to have some feedback. I’m still open to changing things depending on feedback, so it hasn’t officially hit the beta stage yet. The mission is quite different than the standard thief/dark mod mission (more story driven and atmospheric) so I’ve got no idea how well it will be received. Due to the nature of the mission it will have lower replayability so keep that in mind if you wanted to test it before its official release. When there’s a few people interested I will post it in the beta testing forum. Thanks. Type of mission: Mansion/Estate/Horror Some screenshots attached.

  4. Welcome back Taffers, it’s 2021 and after a little break we are back with a new episode.   5. If i am shamelessly advertising my project here then please let me know! I would like to drop you a video of my 11 months project. You can of course do what ever you want but please keep in mind the following. I dont actually thing that either thief 1 or 2 or 3 are great games. I think they are fantastic but i am not into them fully. I feel like they are too long, unfocussed and i find it a bit to subtle. I am making my own thing here but i am trying to not derive to heavy of thief. Please respect my wish todo my own thief. With love, F.

  6. I have just tested it. It's really cool. All my games from GOG, Bethesda Launcher, Origin, Epic, Uplay, Battle.net and Steam under one hood. The only feature I am missing right now is "sort by date of purchase" because I usually want my most recent purchases at the top.

  7. Very talented work! Though I'd suggest editing the screenshots to be somewhat brighter. My preferred tool is to increase the intensity of intermediate tones in Microsoft Office Picture Manager. As for beta testing, it's always highly recommended to perform a beta test, either closed (i.e. via Discord or private messages) or semi-public (in the Betatesting section of this forum), depending on preference. In fact, going forward it's a requirement for missions that should get uploaded to the official servers. I could probably take a look at the performance side of things, though I don't think I'll be a full betatester.

  9. One of my favorite missions. Great content with a random objective, which ensures a much greater re-playability. You never know in advance who the murderer is.

  10. Performance was one of my concerns before even starting to make the map. However the performance is better than what I was expecting but I do have a 3700X and GTX 1080Ti . Performance is one of the things I'm wanting feedback on, particularly those with low-mid range cards. Most of the outdoor light sources are noshadows 1

What amuses me the most is that if he had accepted the loss like a man instead of like a 9-year-old, he could have ran in the next election in 2024, and probably have won.

  13. Hard to follow up some of the recent screens people have been posting, but here's a little something for my beta testers to reassure them I've not forgotten about them! Part of a new area, really going for a natural feel with some pagan vibes, might be hard to notice but I've got some of @STRUNK's new bats flying around and they cast a great shadow in the moonlight as they pass by the cave opening (it's in the screen but looks way better in person!) Ignore the fps counter; I've got a misbehaving VP in the area.

  15. I do plan to do updates for all of my missions, real life has been very hectic of late, so I haven't had a chance to even open TDM/DR in a couple of months now. I'm hoping 2021 will be easier to manage so I can peel away for some older mission updates and to finish off my new missions.

  16. After the previous part overcrowded by guards I really really enjoyed this empty, quiet and a bit mysterious place. The map design is really stunning, loved the 'unusual' (or better 'uncommon') places like piers, sea-coast or peninsula accessible by a path carved into huge rocks. Wow.... The atmosphere is very sad, empty, I literally felt how the people suffered from the plague. Beautifully followed by that relaxing but still a bit mysterious music. I'm really enjoying the story and have to appraise the disguise stuff, as well...perfectly fabricated.... And this was my first mission where I managed to collect all the treasures....:-)
