  1. If these pop-ups bother you 'We use cookies and we put it for you yes or yes' that now they put on all pages, apart from an adblocker (uBlock Origin the best) use this.

  2. I don't know whether there is a difference between old and new missions in regardence to translatability (is that a word?). However, regarding the wiki The Outpost is already converted to the I18N format and some translations have been provided, although not a russian one. (It seems there are no russian translations whatsoever even though there have been attempts in the past, but that is based on the wiki which may be outdated in that matter). If you want to provide translations I would furthermore suggest to use the english.lang string file as starting point and translate the strings inside those files instead of running the script on the mission pk4 again. I wouldn't blindly assume that the results are always the same, so strings might get mixed up. Also note that when translating you have to keep the amount of space required by the strings in mind, as they could otherwise get cut off ingame. You'll as well as other russian speakers have to check that ingame. Regarding the tooltips. They are part of the loading screen gui I guess. This feature was added after the script was written. As the member who wrote that (Tels if I am not completely mistaken) is no longer active, the script probably haven't been updated for a while now. You can alter that manualy, I guess. Note, though, that any change on mission pk4's need permission by the respective mission authors.

  3. Streaming is weird. I don't watch any streams of any kind! I do not understand the appeal. But I decided to do it for my own selfish purposes. You see, it's way harder to procrastinate when there are witnesses. Sometimes there are 2 or 3 people watching me for whatever reason and it makes me feel bad for scrolling twitter instead of working.

  5. You can, and more, with this and the other 2 the sides will only see your raised middle finger. Better if you use also privacy search engines, like Startpage or DuckDuckGo, privacy browser, like Vivaldi or UR which don't track you. For full security use also a VPN. Also in the web, stealth is important today.

  6. I don't know. I haven't written said script and don't use perl normally. As long as there is no error message or similar I can't help. EDIT: Just tried it myself and the script doesn't create an output as it isn't able to read a specific string within the fm. So this is an FM issue, not a script one. @Gadavre Would have been helpful if you have noted the output yourself. How should anyone know what is going on if you don't provide the necessary information? And please stop demanding fixes for things that ain't broken.

  7. Well the old bootstrap compiler finally enabled me to port the TDM patchset for use with gcc-10.2.0 and some major changes have followed. The TDM compiler is now a plugin to the msys2 shell in fact all compilers currently runnable with it are clang to ;). The nice things about this is that you can pretty much build anything the standard version can with the only difference being that the TDM version defaults to linking to the static gcc runtime libraries. The bad thing is that things using clangs libunwind will most likely barf a lot because the gcc unwinder is linked into every library so you will see multiple definition errors in those cases, though not insurmountable -> can just do LDFLAGS+=" -Wl,--allow-multiple-definition" and it will happily compile again it might cause some trouble down the road. The full package is here -> https://sourceforge.net/projects/cbadvanced/files/Msys2 TDM final/ but i suggest waiting a bit until i get my package server online since even solid compressed it is 46GB :S so its a rather hefty download. When the package server is online you can just get the features you want and nothing else which would be more manageable.

  8. I did just that. I had played like 3 times up to that Elven forest city, where I always got stuck because of a bug in the pirated version. Years later I finished the game with proper patches. Finished it with a simple half-orc brute. I don't think I will replay again, though.

  9. Added to the TDM wiki's FM database: https://wiki.thedarkmod.com/index.php?title=A_Night_of_Loot:_One_Man's_Treasure_(FM) I'll add that I've also included this mission in our wiki article on recommended missions for beginner players: https://wiki.thedarkmod.com/index.php?title=Mission_recommendation_discussions I think this is a textbook example of a small and relatively short mission in a not too intimidating environment that can help TDM newbies learn the chops of the game.

  10. I guess I'm going against the grain here but I think the image @kingsal posted looks great. It seems that the effect is already aware of the normals — it definitely looks like it is outlining the object, giving less highlight to faces which point directly towards the camera while increasing the effect on edges which face away. Perhaps if people feel it is too strong, the "effect gradient" could be adjusted so that there was even less highlighting in the middle of the object?

  13. Overall a pretty good fan map with an impressive story and great events! Gameplay could be a bit more demanding but definitly one of the best maps I have played so far!

  14. Hey Pwyll, Yes indeed, the song is 'Beata Viscera' by the 12th Century composer Perotin, sung by Marianne Lihannah. Here's a link to it on Youtube:
