  1. Mission 2 is getting closer. Just added some moon beams to the church window. They are actually parallel - the camera perspective makes them look fanned out.

  3. A Collector's Errand So thebigh and I, have created a little tribute map in honour of Mircea Kitsune. The FM is set in the TDM universe with nod's to some of the gameplay elements in MK's own mission's. And the map itself was loosely based of one of thebigh's abandoned maps, which has then been heavily customised and had multiple detail passes into what you now see. The mission is small and and relatively simple, so shouldn't be too hard for most players. Enjoy and have fun Notes: - TDM 2.14 or later is REQUIRED to play this mission. - Build time roughly 65hrs. Download Link: - (v0.31) - https://mega.nz/file/2AskyBJD#K_sSxWKKt5x-UTOUd4GlKWobfFHVUdkDDgTn82r-t-k Credits: - thebigh - additional map work, textures and ALL the scripting! - MirceaKitsune - anthro characters - wellingtoncrab - new textures in tdm 2.14 - Jackfarmer - briefing video - datiswous - subtitles Voice acting: Bikerdude - Prankster thief, Grumbling watchman Gunmetal - Annoyed thief thebigh - Slacker watchman Ed the Djinn - Briefing voiceover Beta Testers: - datiswous - wesp5 - joebarnin

  4. Yuletide Boon The idea behind this mission was to again show, what can be built in a small amount of time and with help from other community members. It also showcases the new church modules that I don't think have been used all that much in previous FMs. Enjoy Notes: - TDM 2.13 or later is REQUIRED to play this mission. - Build time roughly 50hrs. - I have created serveral new custom models and prefabs for mappers to use, based off the church models. Download Link: - (v1.2) - https://mega.nz/file/qV1UQKqK#B9cdy3iB_Z7q8j2nQOEc9KISw8cPSYLIowP-1yokRbI Credits: Special thanks: - Springheel for creating the church modules. - Jack 'mozart' farmer for the briefing video and menu music. - datiswous - subtitles. - Goldwell - voice acting and briefing additions. - Dragofer - pagan statue from http://www.cadnav.com/3d-models/model-40413.html - Misc - Melted candlewax texture from - www.pexels.com/photo/close-up-of-wax-of-a-melted-candle-17959695 - Amadeus - scripting beta testers: -Jackfarmer, datiswous, CambridgeSpy, DavyJones, Mat99, Amadeus.

  5. It's probably a result of me copying and pasting some GUI file to make my loading screen. I think it's this stuff here: https://github.com/FrostSalamander/fsx/blob/7e9bb0c837fc479503072f7dc443067ea59700aa/guis/map/fsx.gui#L30 I have no idea what this stuff means. I can't remember if the warning was always there or not either. I have a vague recollection of someone mentioning it, but not sure if it was that mission or not. In subsequent FMs I removed that section of the GUI for my loading screens, like in LT3 here: https://github.com/FrostSalamander/lt3/blob/main/guis/map/lt3.gui Maybe try editing that GUI file and removing that whole section and see what happens?

  6. You have to choose the alternate versions checkbox then scroll down the list to choose the latest 2.14 beta version.

  7. There are a few ( rare ) GPU's with 1280MB so that was chosen as the minimum since we saw that all the bundled missions ( Training, Official 1 + 2 ) were using more than 1024MB but less than 2048MB. The minimum is only meant to cover missions officially created by The Dark Mod team as part of the default offering. Mission authors can choose to create missions that follow the same limits or exceed them with a warning about the higher requirements. We don't want to artificially limit what mission authors choose to do based on an arbitrary low-end populace we want to retain as a baseline. It may be best to add a new flag to the darkmod.txt like "Minimum VRAM:" and re-use the system spec data we obtain at startup to issue a warning if the user doesn't have enough to run the installed mission. Edit: @wesp5 can you get Displacement to run if you disable Parallax Mapping and set texture quality to low?

  8. This particular mission was to show off the modular church models, and I even created some new ones from them thats @AmadeusI need to create a tracker to get added to the mod. But as has always been the case, everything I create is covered by CC0, but its nice to get a nod when something I created is used.

  9. I'm definitely not using any microsoft or google stuff if I can help it because I think they are sketchy. I'll have to do some research into free, independent file hosts that are well thought of.

  11. Nice little mission. The lovely tribute at the start was well worded; I liked that.

  12. Not entirely. The feature request is actually 2 in one I think. I would like to select a single object in a group, without having to Ungroup it. It would be nice if the GroupCycleForward and GroupCycleBackward keyboard shortcuts (default TAB and Shift-TAB) cycled though the items in the group, selecting one at a time. 1. is fixed with Selection Focus I hope 2. also works inside selection focus, but I don't see why not.
