Played around and was able to turn TDM to black and white. The only thing that is still colored is the player and the hud. Should be easy to get them to b/w, too.

I thought about including in my mission a scene where you enter a room and have a sort of flash back in black and white. But I don't know how the community would like that. Either way I might ask for your help with that Obs when the time comes

We don't know yet what branch it was exactly. The MP3 creators are just one of several FH branches. Hope Obsti will enlighten us. ^^

I was able to reproduce the teleport feature from "path of shadows" in TDM. Still a bit buggy, though. Sometimes the player ends out in the void

Does anyone know a freeware model conversion tool to convert ase to obj? I couldn't find one.

Can't get the latter to run (msvcp110.dll missing). I've tried installing MSVC++ redistributable, but already have the newest version of the 2010 package.
Any suggestions?

The newest redist may not be the one you need, later sp's don't cover some earlier stuff etc. Guess I could make a new build sometime.

avg free is based on kaspersky code. Just do custom install and uncheck everything that can be unchecked, then turn off notifications in avg settings. Then it's a well behaved a.v.

Obst, you could it like this:
1) make different versions of your particle, with different size and count.
2) make defs for func_emitters that emits your particles of different types.
3) make a script that destroys func_emitter emitting type 1 and sys.spawn a new emitter emitting particle type 2 into the position the old emitter used to be. Should be straightforward, methinks.

I want a continuos blending of the particle properties. However, for the one I'd like to use I can also use a texture. I was just wondering if aa particle would work either.

I've finally found a way to create a trap, which reacts depending on the weight lying on it as well as forces applied. Will upload a video and a description soon.

Looking foward to this. I had a heck of a time with the trap in Score to Settle.

I'm still working at fine-adjusting it. Due to dooms phisic engine it's behaving a bit strange by now. But generally it works. The good thing is that you only need a scriptobject on the trap to adjust it and trigger the events once the trap should get activated, but nothing more. The trap itself is a simple moveable. No triggers are needed. I hope I have something to present til the end of the week.

This is very interesting. It was crazy to do the water trap in Phrase Book. I wonder if your trap could be generalized into a pressure plate or a tripwire that would set off mines, thus enlarging their usefulness-radius.

I don't know what "touch with hidden symbols" means, but I will post an detailed explanation of this effect in my mapping thread tomorrow, so everybody can look how it is done. It is actually quite easy.

Well, actually he says that the way he does it is not the way it is meant to be played. In the scene where he fights the city guard who then ran away he just wanted to demonstrate that guards carry armor that can protect them from taking damage. He also stated that one should avoid being detected and that if this happens the best option is to run.
It was simple about showing the mod.

TDM is a mod, so eventually different weapons will be added, and could be grouped under one key -like readables key or keys key.

This brings me an idea. Is it possible to make non-stiff cloth the same way like rope? You would have small squares that would be knit together forming a mesh. Maybe they could be made to sway with the wind. Or push aside as AI walks through them.

@Obs, of course it depends on what you feel God is like, but if God is a parent, then we are beings of unassailable worth and that is more contenting (at least to me) than to believe that we're just an accident of chance with no real value.

@Moonbo: This is the logical explanation. But I fairly doubt that this is the origin of your belief.
However, as said it was more a general question, not applying to me personally. I cannot imagine to believe, although I can't really explain why. It's a similar question to: "Does it make you happier if you have a lot of money?".
Religiousness is something I've never really understood.

This might be better to carry on in a PM, but is it religious practice (i.e. specific rituals/activities) or religious belief (the notion that your life has a purpose outside of yourself) that's difficult to understand?

There's also this funky bug where Garrett gets stuck looking like he's falling and you can't jump during that, but if you manage to drop off of a small ledge then he goes back to normal again. I get this bug all the time.

That's why TDM is superior t TDS/T2 and in fact many other games. Our mantling system is second to none.

To be fair, T2 mantling improved a lot with NewDark. But yeah, TDMs is still better
