  1. Another big THANK YOU from me too. 20 minutes ago I casually opened the site of the biggest (and basically, one of the only two serious game magazines in my country) and I saw, I quote: "The Dark Mod за Doom 3 е факт", which translated from Bulgarian says "The Dark Mod for Doom 3 is a fact". I nearly had a heart attack, actually my hands are shaking while I'm typing this. And let me tell you, here in Bulgaria, where Thief doesn't really have a huge fan-base due to extremely poor marketing at its time of release and game-magazine industry is not very developed, the Dark Mod to appear as a head-title in PC Mania's site is not a small thing at all. So now I'm equally happy that there are obviously sworn Thief-fans in the game-mag industry around here, and, of course, that this superb mod actually did make it - all thanks to your hard work and dedication. Thank you for giving us another entry point to the Thief world. I simply can't find the words to wish you all good enough things (and I don't have a Victoria to help me with them), so once again, thank you for the hard work, the dedication, and for the great gift you've given us all, and I hope many a good thing come your way. Cheers!
  2. Sure feels like they do. Take a quick spin aroung the town and feel for yourself. That's why these missions are so great.
  3. Well I'll be. Funny coincidence.
  4. Didn't know that. I was just hoping to see his great ideas combined with the power of the Doom3 engine. Oh well...
  5. I just might. I've never been too good at modding - I lack the imagination, but converting may work. In the meantime if someone with the skills finds the idea appealing please let me know! As for now, good night
  6. I so need to finally learn some DarkRadiant!
  7. Not at all! In fact you've told me that it's actually possible and I'm sure it will happen at some point, maybe even Purah himself will do the deed.
  8. Yeah... well I didn't mean it that way. I'm sure you guys are up to your ears in work, indeed what I meant was that I hope that when the complete Darkmod is released someone will do it. I was overexcited so I just blurted it all out, sorry. Thanks for the kind words though
  9. Guys I gotta tell you, 5 minutes ago I was sleeping as a rock (it's the middle of the night around here, cold as heck, and I nearly broke my foot when I kicked the table rushing to the computer in the dark) when suddenly I suppose I was struck with an insight or maybe an epiphany because I awoke for no perceivable reason but with this only thought glowing brightly in my mind: got to have Lampfire Hills for the Darkmod! You do remember Purah's great TDS/Gold mission do ya now? With its breathtaking atmosphere, the mysterious keyhole in the kitchen of your very own house and the secrets hidden within the small town you could sneak through? I tell you, the atmosphere was so great you could just stay hidden somewhere in the small town without doing anything and enjoy the cozy emotion... Man I pray someone converts it for the Darkmod as soon as the tools are ready! Come to think of it, there are two more masterpieces from Purah, praised be his name, that deserve to be immortalized: Calendra's Cistern, and Calendra's Legacy. Anyone that do not know what am I talking about is at a great loss and has my sympathies. (Hint: install Thief Gold and Metal Age, get to The Keep and enlighten yourself!) Soo... please calm my anxiety? Anyone with the skills willing to take on this great quest when time comes? Is such a conversion possible at all?
  10. Glad to help! I appreciate you efforts too
  11. Hello Darkmod team, Recently I've visited a museum located in Bulgaria, called Etar, which consists, basically, of a represantation of the architecture and machinery of the 19th century, one to one. Here's a link to some pics I've taken there; they're of the houses and some of the machinery, which are all water-powered, mechanical, so It's pretty much the stuff we've seen in the Thief games. I'm not sure if they will be useful to you, but to me, some of them feature quite a Thiefesque athmosphere, so I figured, what the hell, let the Darkmodders decide. The pics are in a rar archive, 1280x1024. The archive itself is 13 megs or so of size, and is hosted by Sendspace. Sorry about the quality of some of them, but my camera is not too good these days.Hope they give you some nice ideas. And here's the link: http://www.sendspace.com/file/jh8qbh
