  1. It's great to see another mission. Thank you and Merry Christmas. :-)
  2. Excellent...I've been patiently waiting. Thank you very much :-)
  3. I agree with the triple "A" rating. This really hits the bulls-eye with classic Thief look and game play. Eidos Montreal should take a look at how it's done.
  4. Looking good, and looking forward to this :-)
  5. Plays lag free with my 1050ti and ancient 1055t CPU. I found this a fun little mission, particularity given the amount of build time. Thank you. That wasn't hard now, was it ?
  6. This mission is one of my all time favourites - thank you, very well done.
  7. Excellent mission - smooth, never tedious game play, fun map. Thank you.
  8. I'm having a ton of fun playing this one. Thank you very much for a job well done.
  9. ./thedarkmod.x86: error while loading shared libraries: libcurl.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
  10. Sorry, the missing libcurl.so.4 is the culprit in all of my distros. They are all updated to the latest versions.
  11. I can't get the darkmod to run on my system with Ubuntu, Chakra, or Fedora. Is there a fix for this or am I stuck until there is an update ?
  12. Frikkin' mirror puzzle aside, I loved this mission. The visuals and audio were flawless. The fog and haunted castle setting followed by a very Doom3 like lava pit, then a final setting just asking for a pagan sequel were perfect. Game play was straight forward - a bit linear, but suitable for this type of mission, not too hard and not too easy. The mission had no lag whatsoever on my system. All in all, my favorite darkMod mission to date.
  13. I'm using /home/brian/doom3/doom.x86 . Thanks for the reply. I'll try your suggestions after my set of shifts is over at work.
  14. I'm running 11 different versions of Linux, both 32 and 64 bit, all of which play Doom3 no problem - none of which have working sound with the darkMod. The problem ranges from no sound at all to a horrible sound lag. Killing pulse audio will not work, nor will playing with settings or altering config files. I'm just curious what the DarkMod does with the sound that could cause the fail.

    B-test

If you still need testers, I'm game - 64 bit Linux on a fairly decent rig.
  16. With the exception of wandering through the overly dense and under-lit woods at the beginning, I didn't find this mission hard to follow or play through at all. Trimming those freaking homely trees down or adding some moonlight would go a long ways. The AI and map should be gingerly felt out before beginning anyways. The sound was easily adjusted in the settings. The pond was a slight oversight, but I always do a few saves in case of getting stuck anyways, plus there's always the noclip option. The objectives could have been a little better worded, but I found the cut scenes and change of locations quite enjoyable. All-in-all, an excellent first mission.
