  1. Nice!! The outdoor shots remind me of the Wood elf city in Greater Feydark in Everquest
  2. Penumbra is compatible with the Novint Falcon Think how interesting TDM would be with that
  3. I installed it today and its looking pretty nice, especially the light rendering. One thing I noticed, entities with lights already tied into them like atdm:torch_gothic_wall aren't showing up in the renderer. Should I put this on the tracker?
  4. Hmmm, or maybe we could have an earth elemental as well... if that fits in with our universe
  5. IRC TDM had the health shields in the earlier build screenshots. Looks really good, that necklace is beautiful!

IRC, the first mortal kombat game was just 1 coder, 1 sound guy and 2 artists Even in movies these days, the credits usually take a long time.
  7. for some reason I can't see the main page, it says "page load error". Anyone else getting this? This sucks becuase I can't see the update to put it on moddb. NVM, it works now. Going to upload the new screenshots now
  8. Secrets out, Eidos hired us, we're actually making Thi4f
  9. Sad All the old game companies are dying out or already dead

    Thief 4

I wonder if Garret will be able to see loot sparkles through walls.
  11. i7's probably can, but I wouldn't recommend that. XP is older and 32 bit, so a.) it won't be the best for multicore cpus and B.) can only see and utilize about 4 gigs of ram. Vista Ultimate I heard FLIES and is badass with a good setup. With that CPU and 6 gigs of RAM it shouldn't be too much of a problem. I highly recommend the windows 7 beta. I have it right now and it is AWESOME. Microsoft also is reissuing it so you can grab it again. It is a beta afterall and can be buggy. The only real issues I've run into is a soundcard driver not installing correctly, but that doesn't matter because its an older card and I only had it in for the midi port.
  12. Out of all the current consoles, I like the Wii the most PC will always be my favorite though
  13. @Jdude Did you have the warranty on it? Because my bro's xbox red ringed on him and he got it replaced.
  14. Killer! Although I don't know ATI cards that much, looks pretty badass. One thing to note. The mobo has onboard audio. If you want top of the line sound, you'll need a soundcard for that... if you want that. Oh and what OS are you using?
  15. I use this PSU wattage calculator http://educations.newegg.com/tool/psucalc/index.html That should give you a good estimation for power reqs Yes, you can go over, which is nice when you want to play it safe and if you need to add more hardware

Yeah, how many movie-based video games have come out that are just TERRIBLE?
  17. Sweet. I just put some of em in my map, looking good. I found two little things Shadowy Z-fighting a missing "piece". You can see this is the model viewer in DR as well.
  18. Heres a question: Have you ever built a computer before? <br /><br /><br />If you're building on a tight budget, the best way to do it is to built one yourself. My favorite sites to get computer parts at good prices are newegg.com and tigerdirect.com<br /><br /> <br /><br />Very well as in just good performance? Or do you want some eyecandy as well?<br /><br /> <br /><br />Hm, I think you can do some tweaks to get Thief running on newer systems. Anyone know this enough to say anything?<br /><br />This article is kinda dated, but it should offer some insight as to which graphics card to get. <a href="http://www.tomshardware.com/news/doom-3-video-card-requirements,142.html" target="_blank">http://www.tomshardware.com/news/doom-3-vi...ements,142.html</a><br /><br /> Here are the doom 3 minimum requirements: http://pc.ign.com/articles/532/532023p1.html These should get you started. Let us know if you need more assistance.

    Thief 4

Isn't T4 supposed to take place in a modern setting?
  20. Is this zombie of yours going to have the zombie animations? Or is he going to have the same proguard animations? btw, looking much better
  21. Visportaling large outdoor areas can be kinda tough, especially if your outdoor area isn't quite built like hallways. If its a canyon, I imagine it still resembles a hallway, just a really large one. Where the tops of the walls end, close that off with a visportal. dmap and see if it shows up (I forget the console command, is it show_portals 1?). The key is to make the visportal closed. Heres an illustration, I hope this helps.
  22. Much better looking, although there is still something about the eyes that bothers me.
