  1. Need to think of names for characters, places etc.? This site does just that: https://www.fantasynamegenerators.com/

I use the hell out of that site in my mission making :) Specifically the English renaissance name generator ^^

Bienie: Good point ! Haven't thought of that. 8-)

Oh, and the wiki has been updated. :-)

  2. I guess a boomerang would be like a throwing blackjack. But it would probably not come back if you hit something...
  3. My mission Rake-off has falling snow http://www.thedarkmod.com/missiondetails/?id=43
  4. Thanks for the suggestion LDAsh. I have never heard of that program before, so I am not comfortable installing it though. Then I would rather stick to MMB Plus, it is not a question of DarkRadiant being unable to detect the mouse button. It clearly is, since I can change the mapping.
  5. Hi, If I change the setting "Edit" -> "Mouse Settings" -> "Camera View" -> "Paste Shader Natural" to SHIFT + AUX1, I cannot use the Paste Shader Natural functionality. AUX1 is the button used for 'go back' in browsers. It works in other programs. It seems to be the same issue for AUX2 ('go forward'). I also tried changing other MMB bindings to AUX1 (Pick Shader, Paste Shader Projected) with the result that they did not work. Also tried with another mouse, with same result. If I set it to something else, e.g. shift + right mouse button, it works as expected. On Windows 10, 64 bit. DarkRadiant 2.6.0 x64
  6. This was a very enjoyable mission to play. Gameplay was enjoyable. Good patrol routes, and shadows. It was perhaps a bit on the easy side, but for someone like me who is out of practice as far as TDM goes it was just what I needed. The story was enjoyable, and it is always nice to listen in on npc conversations. Visually the mission is very high class. The architecture, while a bit blocky reminded me of Thief, in a good way. Light and shadow where very well done. I especially liked the reflection of light in the water. It did feel a bit strange the way that the light level changed when entering some rooms. This could have been more subtle imo. The audio was very high class and I especially liked the ambient sounds. This also felt very Thief like. Overall, this mission is very high up in the list of best missions for me. And there is no doubt which mission will be the next one I play: Volta II. P.s. The name of the mission keeps reminding me of: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VoLTE
  7. Lots of missions I have not played yet

If you haven't played kingsal's ones yet, or the latest Goldwell and Grayman missions, i can highly recommed those.

@nbohr1more: Having not done anything Dark Mod related for years now, I had completely forgotten about that mission. I am not even sure I have the files anymore :/

@chakkman: Have to check those missions out.

      Aww shoot.

Hopefully they are still around in some form. :(

  8. Legend of Grimrock 2 plus 3 days weekend. Nice.

  9. My first real experimentation with modular building.
  10. I have been using ghostery for some time, and it seems disconnect can find even more. Plus this: http://venturebeat.com/2012/07/31/ghostery-a-web-tracking-blocker-that-actually-helps-the-ad-industry/ (if one enables ghostrank)
  11. func_static are basically entities that do nothing much other than being ... well static. You can do stuff like turn shadows or collision off. http://wiki.thedarkmod.com/index.php?title=Performance:_Essential_Must-Knows#func_static_v_worldspawn_Brushes
  12. A somewhat consistent behaviour of voicing that they lost something, followed by the npc looking around for a few moments without being alerted would add to the immersion imo. We already have ai noticing things being taken from the surrounding world with some chance. This would not be so different I think.
  13. Looks very cozy and... *looks up at the ceiling* ARGH!
  14. I'l be (100000)2 years this month.
  15. Cool little mission. It had lots of little details that I liked, such as the anchor in the garden, and One thing I noticed
  16. Any suggestions for someone who has not played FMs for 1/2 year?

That`s simple.U definetely gotta play them all. Don`t miss a single one.

This Mod is a jewel in times, where games are more & more mainstream like hell. So : Enjoy! :-) -U will be blessed by the builder-

Thomas Porter series from Sotha. And all Bikerdude missions. :) And all the others!

  17. From the shadows it looks like the light is located in the middle of the courtyard, above, and between the two stalls. If it is real lightning wouldn't the shadows be almost parallel?
  18. You can always go to Dublin... http://forums.thedarkmod.com/topic/14595-going-to-dublin-next-week-any-taffers-over-there/page__view__findpost__p__307628 Or go see Malmöhus Castle in Malmö, Sweden http://www.malmo.se/...ohus-slott.html I intended to visit it this summer, but as usual, I did not have time for half of my plans
  19. So if I try to jump where I'm not supposed to, the game will actually do something completely different from what I am trying ... For immersion?
  20. Pretty much this. Besides the 'fair use' is an American thing as far as I understand, so you cannot expect it to apply outside of the US.
