  1. Hi,

If I change the setting "Edit" -> "Mouse Settings" -> "Camera View" -> "Paste Shader Natural" to SHIFT + AUX1, I cannot use the Paste Shader Natural functionality.

AUX1 is the button used for 'go back' in browsers. It works in other programs.

It seems to be the same issue for AUX2 ('go forward').

I also tried changing other MMB bindings to AUX1 (Pick Shader, Paste Shader Projected) with the result that they did not work.

Also tried with another mouse, with same result.

If I set it to something else, e.g. shift + right mouse button, it works as expected.

    On Windows 10, 64 bit.

  2. This was a very enjoyable mission to play.

Gameplay was enjoyable. Good patrol routes, and shadows. It was perhaps a bit on the easy side, but for someone like me who is out of practice as far as TDM goes it was just what I needed.

It is always nice to find secret rooms.

The story was enjoyable, and it is always nice to listen in on npc conversations.

Climbing the tower and getting to the top gave me the impression that it would build up to more, especially that the guards would have noticed something was wrong.

Visually the mission is very high class. The architecture, while a bit blocky reminded me of Thief, in a good way.
Light and shadow where very well done. I especially liked the reflection of light in the water.
It did feel a bit strange the way that the light level changed when entering some rooms. This could have been more subtle imo.

The audio was very high class and I especially liked the ambient sounds. This also felt very Thief like.

Overall, this mission is very high up in the list of best missions for me. And there is no doubt which mission will be the next one I play: Volta II.

P.s. The name of the mission keeps reminding me of:

  3. Sorry, to disturb you, but I have no idea where I can find the book of Amos.

If I remember correctly the book is inside a safe in one of the officers' office.

And where I can use the cathedral key? I'm confused because the cathedral door (near mission beginning) is pickable.

It is for the cathedral doors (even though they are pickable)

  4. Pretty good mission so far. I'm playing because it's close to Halloween and it seems to be on everyone's Top 10 list for creepiness. I need some assistance, though. I'm unable to find the...

treasure map in the desk (in Room 4), despite the hints given above. Please provide the exact location of the secret switch. Which drawer, cupboard, or cosmetic feature of the desk... and if it happens to be somewhere within those vertical slats holding paperwork vertically on the right side of the desk, please tell me which exact slot it's in and the specific location within that slot (high, medium, low, front, back). It's very difficult to highlight objects in desks, chests and drawers in TDM since TDM very strongly prefers to highlight cupboard doors, entire drawers and entire chests rather than the objects within, which is frequently a bit frustrating (not just in this mission, but all) -- so I'm sure that that isn't helping to make the switch any easier to locate. I've already spent at least 30 minutes trying to examine every part of the room, of which at least 15 minutes was for the desk alone once I heard that's precisely where I need to look. I've looked at and around the desk with lights doused and not-doused, and with using my lantern, etc. Sorry, but I've lost my patience with this puzzle, and most of it is because having to deal with the desk door and drawer mechanics of TDM (I'm getting tired of fighting with them ;) ). Hoping you could help :) Maybe even tell me what the switch looks like and how large it is. At this point, I just desire the exact solution so I can move on...

  5. So, I hear you asking, what happens when you DO press the jump button, but there is nothing to jump on?

    You SWOOP!

So if I try to jump where I'm not supposed to, the game will actually do something completely different from what I am trying ... For immersion? :)

  6. Just don't take IP protected stuff into your FM in any form!

Just don't.Really! Why risk it? We cannot risk any intervention from any IP holders. None of your snippets are worth the risk.

Just keep away IP stuff and you will live a nice mapper career with less worries.

    Pretty much this.

Besides the 'fair use' is an American thing as far as I understand, so you cannot expect it to apply outside of the US.
