  1. Howdy, outlaw. Thanks for the advice I'll try it. I'm only using PaintShop Pro for the time being. All the textures have been converted at the moment. I'll post some new pics soon.
  2. I have some more of the old Thief 2 textures converted. What do you think? What could use improvement? I am also trying to add bump mapping to the textures.
  3. Why is it that when you sneak up behind a guard a scare them they don't fall on the ground with a heart attack? I mean imagine, it is late and your a guard on typical guard duty when suddenly "Boo!" (A thief screams "Boo" three inches from your ear. If you don't jump something is wrong with you.

Hit the wall with your flashlight and you'll get a wood like hit sound.   5. Ok I have some shader work done for the old Thief2 textures. It works fine in GTK Radiant 1.5.0 "Doom3 Support" Sample Materials List Code Thief_Core_2.mtr ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- //Wood- textures/Thief_Core_2/Woodblt { wood qer_editorimage textures/Thief_Core_2/Woodblt.dds map textures/Thief_Core_2/Woodblt.dds } ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I still need to work on this though because this isnt right....?
  6. Try this. Take an old SFX sound wav from Thief 2 Open SNDrecorder(Comes with windows) and convert to max format. Then convert the file using Sound Blaster to Channels: Stereo Sample Rate: 96000 Hz Bits Per Sample: 24 Format Type: WAVEFORMATEXTENSIBLE and you might notice a difference. I did.
  7. I know you guys over at the sound department are very buisy makeing these awsome sounds, but, I have a question. Will you be making your sounds in just Stereo or will there be plans for Surround Sound (4.1), 5.1, and 7.1????

  9. In theory one could write impressive shaders for the textures that would improve there quality.. only problem is I'm a noob when it comes to shaders. I have the basic shaders almost completely written. Oh and I'm going to try and re-create Miss01 of Thief2- structural only... I can only release pictures though...
  10. Thanks I'll check it out. If you need a mapper just let me know. Oh and you can use The Wolfenstein Enemy Territory editor to make your maps if you like. Just rename the Map files .PFB and use the Doom3 editor to import prefabs>

  13. I am currently taking all of the old Thief 2 textures and converting them for use with the editor. That means I'm adding shaders for each and every "Family". I have 30% completed. I know I can't Give you the textures, but you might be able to give me some advice. Oh and by the way the textures need to be resized. And even though the old textures are OLD they kick butt in the new editor with shaders applied. E-Mail me if I can be of use. I build maps as well- only stuctures for now I will try to put up pictures some time later...

  17. Hi, I just signed in. I have been a long time Thief Fan. Only 1 and 2 not 3. I would first like to say YES! about time a real Thief was done. This is just one of the many questions I hope may be answered. A key ring would allow the player to put his keys on the key ring (like a certain old mod ). Maybe the player would have to thumb through choices on the key ring like a seperate old style item chooser (the bottom right corner). This way the keys would all be in one place. I am not for the one click Master Key Ring though. What do you think???
