Lysergic is a nice word. Makes me think of me of lysergic acid diethylamide.

I've been on and off the forum quite a bit, mostly off.
I want to thank the mod team for all of your hard work, mapping in DR has been the next best thing ive actually done with a computer, music being the first
Im studying music at a "folk highschool" in Karlskoga, music is the one hobby that has actually stuck with me.
here is a "album" ive put together, if ur not a fan of crazy electronic music, skip to the fourth track.
any musicians out there? share your work/soundclouds

So we meet again forum.
I didnt know where to put this thread, thought this would be a suitable place.
alot is happening in my life now, and i dont see myself finishing any of my projects.
I have a couple of maps i would like to donate, most of them to anyone willing.
There is one in particular wich i believe could become really great, it is however quite messy and for that particular FM it would require som leet DR skills to finnish.
here are some screenshots for the above mentioned FM

Probably the best Garret impersonation yet.

I was actually optimistic about thi4f, thinking it might actually be a descent game. That all changed, this is just.. bad. i feel sick.
Edit: im definately pirating this.

I haven't introduced myself to the forums yet, but I'm happy to say I've gotten help from you already, and it's obviously a place for dedicated people
This is a project I've been working on the past 4-5 weeks, as a suggestion from a friend who introduced me to this awesome mod.
Here's a gallery of the map, as it currently looks. Not everything is included, as I think it will be best enjoyed, if some of the more detailed environment remains a surprise. Do let me know if any 'red lights' go off, as you look at the geometry and apparent looks of it. Obviously the bare walls around "the keep" are due for some trimming, because I can't stand the look of them
Anyway, enjoy: http://imgur.com/a/Lj8UJ#0
Holy ****, this must be hands down, the most beautiful mapping ive seen on tdm. please finish this, you have too.

All these pics have got me inspired, and wanting to pitch in :-). This week I've mostly just been trying to fix the map for Bikerdude's (insightful as usual) feedback. So not much new BSP, but lots of moving stuff around and polishing. I still can't find a way to fix the $!@ dmap crash that's affecting the map though...anyways here's the updated rear of the church. Feedback always appreciated:
(PICTURES)
I've got a question that I'd love to get everyone's thoughts on. Once I build out the interior of the church I'll be at about the mid-way point of what I've planned out for the FM. Right now the entity count on the map is about 2,500. I've always wanted to make the whole FM a single map so that players could have a seamless experience, but the dmap/map loading process in general is now taking a pretty long time. Also the fact that I have this dmap crash that I can't solve is getting me nervous.
Do you think it makes sense to split a mission with that entity count across two maps using the campaign feature? The downside is that this will pull the players out of the experience as the second map loads, but the upside is that I'll be able to iterate faster and not have to worry about issues with the second half of the map affecting the first... what do you guys think?
I dont know what it is, but theese shoots all have a very "'Alive Feel".
Weekend in bridgeport, the nobility/middle class host private parties etc.

I would want to join aswell if possible It's medium/small sized. i'll have to tackle a bug, and finsh the layout, i have a basic idea of where im going storywise.
-
Or we can tag it... For commercial purposes
That was a joke.

Being a newbie who made the mistake of starting with an outdoor map, I heartily agree with Obsttorte :-P.
I second that
-
Am i the only one that finds this hillarious?
-
That is good news indeed. I find myself incapable of doing any DR work besides design, working with entitys is hard enough for me.
I'll snoop around after work, i will let you know if i find anything.
-
no probs, ill try to figure it out by my own. if all goes to s*** i'll come back and ask for help.
if anyone feels like having a go at it it would be much obliged though.
-
I've changed too much from the previous backups. It would be a huge motivation drop to have to start from them.
When ive got time im gonna try to split the map into separate pieces so i alteast know where to look.
-
hahahaha, your wifes comment cracked me up, well. if you like black and white, pretentious artsy fartsy films i highly recommend "Idi Smotri".
"Oldboy" and enter the void are my all time favourites though. I read Turin horse and got excited, resulting in OFT madness.
