Isn't it amazing how potent these "new to me" experiences are and how much more agile you get after trudging through an issue? Many a time have I been stalled simply because I had the filters on.
I'm pretty sure this is a Dark Radiant rite of passage

Thanks for playing Melichor! Glad you are enjoying it so far, and yeah, it's safe to say you have a bit more exploring to do

Thebigh is right. The pronunciation tripped me up too, but that is apparently how Leicester is pronounced. Also @TarhielI'm glad you are loving the FM but do you mind putting spoiler tags on your post please

Finally. About time we get these long-sought features. Just point me to the download link

Here is a link to the Dark Mod wiki with some (but not all) of the basic console commands: https://wiki.thedarkmod.com/index.php?title=Console_Useful_Controls

Can anyone give me a hint which area I should be looking in please
Hey esme!
SpoilerYou should check the area where you first found Lady L
-
So I filed a bugtracker for this: 6281
It seems that the proper diffuse map for the sandstone texture just doesn't exist in the base game- 1

-
Should be easy enough to just make up a custom material until this bug gets fixed
-
so it looks like the editor image for blocks_large_sandstone is totally different from the diffuse map, which is blocks_large_whitestone

I had the same idea about the versions that didn't go into the inventory and didn't display anything. I suspect they are supposed to be broken, but I would rather have them show more background info.
appreciate the feedback, but we are quite happy with the amount of background info already provided, and I wouldn't expect to see any changes regarding the tablets for future versions

Is this supposed to be a secret? I found it very obvious and used it the first time I played the mission.
A secret is just a matter of perspective in this FM. Not everyone is gonna find the same things in the same order

I can't seem to find where to use the precursor tablet.
SpoilerHey Silverflame! so, it is not the precursor tablet you need to escape the world it is the astralux. The precursor tablets are just readables meant to explain the world around you. And as far as spoiler tags, check the "eye" icon on the toolbar above the message box.

How do you light candles?
The player is also equipped with flint at the start of the mission, so you could just use that to light things on fire easily.
EDIT: Oh, thebigh beat me to it!- 1

Hey TBugs! Welcome to the Dark Mod! I'm glad to see you are enjoying it so far. As for the
Spoilerastralux, you can find it in Eustace's bedroom, specifically in one of the bed posts.
And feel free to post in the Seeking Lady Leicester thread here.

I played for 20 minutes today.
It just looks fantastic. Whenever I look at the stuff from Amadeus, Bikerdude and my intimate enemy wellingtoncrab, I would love to delete all my stuff.
You guys really have it going on. If I were to really use the term art (and I don't like the term because in my opinion it's too vague), it would apply to your work.
Welli, Amadeus, Biker: I can't wait to see your next own missions; after that I'll probably stop mapping and you'll be to blame. Was it really worth it to scare away my genius? Grayman surely would not have wanted that!
Yours
Genius
JackFarmerDon't forget our High Script Master, Dragofer! Without him, a bunch of the fun stuff you see and experience in the FM would just be unrealized ideas!

We will look at some of this stuff, but SPOILER tags, please!!!

Not sure why it works in Windows and fails under Linux. Must be something in viewport translation math? Still pretty weird since other viewport translation code works in Linux too...
could the viewport issue be related to this issue: 6278

Is it only working if the author(s) implement it in FM's?
Hey, so to clarify this point: Yes, the specific FM author has to implement it in their FM. This feature won't work on say, Tears of St. Lucia, as the authors of that map did not implement the feature. Usually the (very few) mission authors that use this will make a note about it on their FM release thread

Apparently not for Woodsie69, who is using Linux Mint 21.1 Cinnamon. In the bugtracker it is stated that the Linux version was Fedora32 (I know precious little about Linux). Perhaps @Daft Mugi wouldn't mind doing a bit of linux testing

You don't need to update if you don't want to, and also, updating the FM could cause any savegames you have to fail. So if you are in the middle of a playthrough, I wouldn't update the FM yet
