  1. @bedhead Thanks for your reply man. In my case TDM segfaults for both drivers. Indeed, I use 'unofficial Mesa builds' and the fglrx version is the one from the official 14.04 repo but regardless, I suspect having some sort of library incompatibility. I'll upgrade the OS these days and try again and see if I can make it work.
  2. Did u used catalyst or Radeon OSS? I have problems starting the game with both of them. If u used fglrx, which version was it? Thanks.
  3. @Tels. Thanks for your reply. For general purpose usage, the OSS driver is MUCH better than fglrx. Only the 3b performance is keeping it behind (but things there too seems to be improving lately, as shown by many recent Phoronix articles. ) I will try catalyst but my ultimate goal is to make sure it runs on OSS (because that is what I use). I was asking the question because I wanted to see if other users experienced the situation (if the issue might be in TDM). If it's a driver bug, then I'll report it and help in its debugging.
  4. I am reopening this post. I tried to install TDM on my Linux machine but failed. The executable outputs the following error: ----------------------------------- ----- R_InitOpenGL ----- Setup X display connection dlopen(libGL.so.1) dlopen(libGL.so.1) idRenderSystem::Shutdown() signal caught: Segmentation fault si_code 1 Was in fatal error shutdown: Unable to initialize OpenGL Trying to exit gracefully.. About to exit with code 0 After doing a little bit a searching I have found this forum thread that discusses a similar issue for Do om:BFG in windows. Can they be related? If so, how can those fixes be applied to TDM? Running ./thedarkmod.x86 +set r_fullscreen 0 doesn't help. Or is it just a driver issue? I'll open a bug report if so. Specs: OS Ubuntu 14.04 (x64) on Radeon 8550g with Radeon Open Source driver (Kernel 3.17, Mesa 10.4 (daily), Xserver 1.5).
